  • I just got home from work and am now about to go for a run.

How was your day at work? I'm having such a slow time, I'm excited for you've and your chilli though! I think I'll make a salad when I get home.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't remember how that day of work was... but I remember the chili was good!

  • fighting with the public wifi because it keeps disconnecting on me randomly

this mall has some more overarching public wifi, elsewhere it's usually store-by-store. so being in the starbucks is a net negative for me actually

How long will you be in Indonesia for? You could get a local SIM card, it saves so much hassle.

My family has this wifi.id plan I need to get the credentials for, when I get the chance. And actually my American SIM card is faring better for me than my husband's local SIM, because many American phones are apparently trash for international use because they don't like foreign SIM cards. My phone might take one, though I have yet to bother since T-Mobile's roaming offerings are pretty great at no cost already

Oh I always forget phones from some countries aren't all unlocked. You could try getting it unlocked but I don't know how you'd go about that. However if you're only staying in a big city since I see Jakarta listed as your location it's probably not too troublesome to just rely on wifi. Portable WiFi routers are another option too.
