Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times - Wind Waker

[PokeCommunity.com] 30 Days of Gaming Challenge

This game is my childhood. I never actually owned this game, but I always went over my friend's house or borrowed the game from them in order to play it. I can remember staying up to the wee hours of the night and playing this game nonstop. It actually wasn't until my freshman year of college when I was actually able to obtain a copy of it (Gamecube version, mind you.) I asked him how much for the game and he said I could have the game for free...you could probably imagine my excitement. It was funny to because when I popped in the game after getting it from my friend, it was five years to the exact date in which I had last saved my game. Poetic, if I do say so myself.

Day 13, A game you've played more than five times

When it comes to games that I played more than five times, there are several that I could choose. Course the one I feel like doing is Fire Emblem Awakening. According to my records, I have played it two hundred twelve times.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 1
As a rule I tend not to play many FPS, but this is one I love to bits and have completed multiple times, the realistic one hit one kill element means you have to think things through and accuracy is all important rather than the more traditional run at the enemy and shoot loads of rounds normally seen in games.

Day 13, A game you've played more than five times
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Xillia, Pokémon Snap, The World Ends With You, Portal..... I'm sure there are more, but I guess my point is I love replaying my favourite games so there are lots I've played more than 5 times!

I have to admit, I've gotten burnt out on most of these at some time or another, but never KHBBS because it is still my favourite game across all its iterations. ♥

Day 13: A game you've played more than five times.

All of them.

There are seriously way too many that I've played more than a handful of times, so I'm just gonna give this one to Resident Evil 0.

It's probably the only RE title I can't get bored of. Even when we're "starting over" again, and gunning for the unlockables that every (older) game has when you beat it in less than 2/3/4/5 hours, or beat it with a perfect rank, etc. I can't play most of them back to back. But 0. I never get bored of 0.
It probably does have a lot to do with what I mentioned back on day 7 -- the characters always pull me back. In most of the RE games, the characters are rather bland and you'll honestly forget there are other "survivors" with you until random cutscene before/after a boss fight. It makes sense that they don't focus on character development, though, so it's not really a concern. But then in 0, they are the only two characters, and you can actually watch them develop... to an extent.

Although, for its backstory and lore, I have to give an honorable mention to the first Resident Evil. The files always bring me back for more; I don't care if I already know what happens, lol.

Day 12 - A game everyone should play.

Stanley Parable is such a uniquely quirky, fun, and enigmatic experience. I highly recommend it to anyone that is bored of the conventional and filled with curiosity.

Half-Life 2 remains one of my all time favorite games and I can't begin to count the time I've sunk into it. It's a great game with a fantastic story, top-notch graphics (for the time), and lovable characters.

Day 13: A game you've played more than five times.

I assume you mean as actually finishing the game? Aside from the Pokemon games, I can think of only a few off the top of my head. Most of the FE games, Chrono Cross, FFIX, Suikoden III, Silent Hill 2, Harvest Moon 64.

And if that's not what you mean, well, I think just about every game I own can fall under that list. :)

Day 13: A game you've played more than five times.

As a kid, Wolfenstein 3-D. As for present-day, uh...Descent, I guess...

Day 14: Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper.

Kicking off day 14 because I can't sleep -- and no, it's not related to my wallpaper, lol.

My current: So many hype.

I don't care that my left monitor is a mess and I don't care that the wallpaper in question doesn't even fit my right monitor properly. I mean, just look at it, even Lyra is stoked.

Day 13: A game you've played more than five times.

Pokemon Emerald. Now I didn't play this because I liked it ok? I did it to beat this stupid egglocke challenge that for some reason I thought I could do. I had a horrible time with crits and many times I lost the challenge either at Norman and Watson. Twice I lost at Liza and Tate. Yeah TATE AND LIZA the seventh gym leader! You have no idea how hard I raged quit after those two times. I eventually won with Milotic as my starter, but yeah...

Day 14: Current (or most recent) gaming wallpaper.

I haven't been able to set a wallpaper for a while because the computer I'm using now is crap and randomly removes it. But the last time I had a wallpaper it was either FF7 or The World Ends With You.

And speaking of The Stanley Parable, I'm just gonna use this as my day 13. :P

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times.

If there's such a thing as 'beating' the Stanley Parable anyway, aside from the 'canon' ending, as

[PokeCommunity.com] 30 Days of Gaming Challenge

I'm sure there are endings I still haven't seen, but it was a lot of fun finding new ways to defy the narrator (I also considered putting him down for "best voice acting" in day 26 - he has a beautiful, beautiful voice) each time I started back at room 427. It's not only a really amusing game that actually made me laugh out loud, but its commentary on linearity and the illusion of player choices in games was really well done. Really relevant to me at least, especially since I played it during the year that I also played many heavily choice-based, "choose your fate" games.

Old screenshot from the desktop thread in C&T. This is probably still the wallpaper on my laptop, though I haven't booted that up in a while:

Spoiler:

I've been using this wallpaper on my other PC (That isn't connected to the internet.) ever since I created the Super Mario Bros theme I use on it. (It even has cursors and sounds on it.)
