Do you care about other people?

I'm far more likely to care about someone who isn't family. But even then, unless you're incredibly cute/moe/woobie, I might not.

Maybe I'm just distrustful of most people...

  • Yes. I'm somewhat of a doormat and always try to be as helpful as I can -- my co-workers even point out how nice I behave to others and how it genuinely seems like I'm trying to help students (I work in a uni) haha. Easy for me to put myself in others' shoes.

  • I definitely care about other people. To the point that I'd gladly be the guy to take a bullet for a stranger. This is not really a good thing, though. As Sheep said, I also tend to be a doormat when asked.

As a Socialist one of the cornerstones of my beliefs is helping others. That people shouldnt be treated badly or lesser based on being poor or disabled or a minority etc. By nature, these beliefs require me to care about strangers.

  • I can't honestly say I care about strangers at the same level that I care about friends and family.

    But.

I guess I do still care a bit, because if I can help somebody (without going too far out of the way myself), I would probably end up doing what I can.

    What he said.
At the same time though, I also firmly believe that human beings are ultimately self-centred. It's because of that I think we need systems in place to ensure fairness.

Yay for being a walking contradiction!

  • It's not like I care about you or anything...idiot...

Okay, that joke's getting old from me... I'll give a real reply. But, no. I can't say I care about total strangers, unless I'm in a situation where care is needed. Otherwise, I don't. I'm very wary of people and try not to give out all of my caring, if that makes any sense at all.

  • Overrates self on kindness on the internet

I care enough to be willing to help someone if they ask - as long as you aren't a beggar on the street asking for loose change - or asking for cash in general.

Why don't you care about beggars?
