I'll be the odd one out and say I wasn't disappointed with Square Enix's presentation because I honestly wasn't expecting more than the Eidos stuff. That's what it said on the tin and they delivered. Could they have, like, maybe not made us spend 15 minutes watching boring clips of the Guardians of the Galaxy game no one asked for? Yeah, but they were always going to. FF7R-2 is a good ways off and they literally just released the DLC interlude, so we weren't getting anything there. FFXIV already had its big fanfest with extended trailer and the actual expansion is too far off to show off anything more than that, so we weren't getting that. I thought there was a chance that FFXVI might get another teaser, but they admitted last year that they were probably a bit premature in showing it last year. I don't doubt it will be managed well with Yoshi P at the helm, but it was unlikely we'd see much here. I also thought we might get one final trailer for Neo: TWEWY but I wouldn't have watched it anyway because Square Enix likes to spoil endgame stuff in their final trailers. Nomura said last year that we wouldn't be getting anything exciting in 2020 and it would be real awkward trotting any announcements out the very week they shut down their underperforming mobile game. So yeah, we were never getting anything big.
Anyway, there hasn't been anything I actually want shown off at E3 yet, so I'm pretty happy. :P The less I have to spend on games, the better. Most stuff I want is slated for release this year, so I'm not unhappy that they aren't wasting time on it. I'm at the age where if I know I'm gonna get a game, I'm probably gonna get the game no matter how much of it they show off before its release. If I'm on the fence, I probably just won't buy it. The only thing I wanted to see more of this E3 was the Diamond/Pearl remakes but... since early access for the new XIV expansion starts the same day they release, I have a feeling I'll be waiting to get/play them until Christmas anyway. So they may as well not show them off lmaoo.
Oh, I do hope we see BotW 2 during the Nintendo Direct. I got Majora's Mask vibes from it, so I'd love to see that get a release window. I'm not used to Nintendo teasing stuff years in advance. Even Square Enix tries not to do that anymore.
