We are, at the time of writing, just 2 weeks away from E3 2021! After being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, E3 will return this year from the 12th - 15th June as an online event.

So, whilst we wait for the presentations - will you watch any this year? Any hopes for announcements? Any rumours you'd give credibility too?

I'll probably pick and choose some things to watch from it but yes I'll be 'sort of' watching it lol.

As for what I'm hoping for or hoping to see or whatever you want to call it... mostly stuff that might be pipe dreaming but here you go...

Digimon Survive news/release date/anything (SERIOUSLY. GIVE THIS TO US ALREADY)
Stray gameplay (cat games are best games. I guess. or not idk)
Anything for Final Fantasy XVI (if it comes out this year and I still don't have PS5... I WILL BE EXTREMELY PISSED)
    Persona 6? (doubt...)
Spyro 4 announcement (Game is only rumored. From a Crash 4 art book. It'd be cool if they officially announced it. Honestly... I doubt it)
It's been 2 years since a trademark was made for what I can only assume is some sort of Klonoa remake/remaster/something. I'd LOSE MY MIND if it is officially revealed and shown. Again... VERY doubtful
Something new for .hack. IMOQ Remake is acceptable. But since Bandai Namco are obsessed SAO fangirls now... this ain't happening.
New trailers/gameplay/anything really for Pokemon BDSP and/or Pokemon Legends Arceus (lots of rumors we're getting this beforehand in the form of a Presents. But I just want to see more and see if there will actually be the rumored 'new megas' 'new Dialga/Palkia form' (box art doesn't seem to suggest this though) 'ancestral forms' (for Legends) or 'extinct Pokemon' (again Legends)
SURPRISE ME!! (something unexpected is always fun. like Final Fantasy X-3 or Danganronpa 4 or just something no one expected to show up)

That's all I can think of right now

As usual, every year I await what Nintendo brings this year that may or may not kill my wallet or my bank account. There's many rumors that there will be a new Switch Pro, while I kinda don't want that to happen, I realize that the Switch came out in '17 and it's been overdue, so maybe we'll see some kind of upgrade then?

I'm also mainly hoping for new Splatoon 3 stuff...I am super hyped for that game.

Plans to catch the Nintendo Direct. Enters with low expectations of personal interest. Figures mostly known titles will be featured, such as Mario Golf, Breath of the Wild 2, Skyward Sword, and Splatoon 3.

Hopes to see more about Project Triangle Strategy. (Never did play that demo.) Would love to see something like Golden Sun, Mother 3, or a (single-player) Pokemon card game pop up. Carries no real hopes for those, though, despite the recent surprising sequels.

Bets on one longshot: a new Mario game. Released Odyssey in late 2017. Calls for something buzzworthy in an E3 presentation. Fits the bill.

I'll be watching only few shows live, since sadly most of them takes place during nighttime here. I'll drop by at Ubisoft and Devolver Digital today, Microsoft and Bethesda tomorrow. I might also watch Square Enix and Warner Bros presentations, but I'm not really interested in their franchises. And I'll of course watch Nintendo Direct.

I am wondering if we'll get a release date for "TMNT: Rise of Shredder." It just says 2021 on the Nintendo website, no official release date.
Of course, I am awaiting news on BDSP and LoA.
And honestly that's it. Though I am definitely going to check out the Nintendo direct, just not in live time. I'll be busy for most of June 15th (the day of the Nintendo Direct).
Just also saying i'm really not a Digimon fan, but I am interested if new games for them are coming out. I do have Digimon Dusk for the original DS which was pretty good for it's time.

Yesterday was pretty boring. For me at least. Today should be better.

    Because Square Enix. That's why.

I'll be tuning into parts of Square Enix's presentation for any TWEWY stuff (would've said FFXIV too, but I figure they keep that separate?), and definitely Nintendo's. Looking forward to it. :D

If they announce a free demo for TWEWY2... I'll be BEYOND HAPPY lol and i'll be streaming it too obviously

That or if they announce that the KH version of FF versus 13 has TWEWY in it as well.

Hoping Square Enix spend very little time on what they've already announced in the past tonight and focus instead on new, previously unannounced titles...something NieR or Drakengard related would be wonderful. I half expect a classic Final Fantasy collection or something related to FFIII and FFIV to be announced for hopefully everything due to the rebranding of the existing versions. I-VI on the Switch would be lovely, even if they were straight-up ports of previously existing versions. We're long overdue an FFV and VI remake of some kind, but I won't hold my breath.

Long shot wish? Something Legacy of Kain related. For crying out loud, PLEASE do something with this damn franchise. Star Ocean: Second Evolution on Switch would be nice too. Or even a Last Hope port, surely the Switch could run that...

I did say I'd watch but at the same time I didn't have any expectations for Squex's E3 (I at least hoped we would get some TWEWY but with all the advertising they've been doing for it lately, am not surprised it didn't show) so it was a bit hard for this to be a letdown, but yeah it was super boring to me still. :( not interested in most of the games

I had fun watching, as a fan of marvel, life is strange, and final fantasy. Dragon Quest already had it's presentation last week so I didn't expect much there.

Watched the replay of Microsoft's e3 conference since I didn't catch it live. I think they wasted some money on some of their timed exclusives since they weren't that exciting. The Ascent though is a decent timed exclusive that they nabbed. When I finally get a series s I definitely plan on getting The Ascent and Forza Horizon 5 for exclusives.

I need to see more of Starfield before I make any decisions there. Mostly will buy only exclusives for the series s.

As for the non exclusives I might wait till I have a ps5 for those, mainly Far Cry 6.

I'm having difficulty remembering a time when I was more disappointed by Square Enix, and I went into this with few expectations.

Square Enix, you're a bunch of fucking idiots. FFI-VI are already on mobile, why the hell are you re-releasing them AGAIN on this platform? "Mobile and Steam" is NOT a valid choice for some of your most celebrated and most asked-for games. Those FF pixel remasters belong on consoles as well, and I highly doubt it would take much effort to bring them over. Every other damn FF except for XI - which nobody seems to really care about in the wake of XIV - is on consoles. It's the 35th anniversary. I haven't seen such a disappointing fuck-up since that awful Diablo smartphone announcement. There is no justifiable reason to limit these to mobile and Steam.

I think I could have tolerated everything else I had to sit through in this presentation if they'd gotten that right, but as they didn't...that was easily their worst E3 performance in recent memory, as far as I'm concerned.

Square Enix's event was a complete and utter waste of my god damn time. It really was.

It's plummeted my confidence in Digimon Survive news finally and the rumored .hack thing.

Your company name is Square Enix not f-ing Marvel. But clearly you also have been bought by Marvel/Disney with the shit that I watched was.

Final Fantasy Origin will not be a game that I play because it's a Souls-like. Unless they make the game something casual players like me can enjoy without being frustrated every 5 god damn seconds... I won't be playing it. Which is extremely doubtful.

This is the most I've ever been frustrated with Square Enix. I guess I should be happy though. Because no FF16 release date. Which likely means it's not coming out this year. If it had and I still didn't have a PS5..... well... i would have started rioting. So no rioting for me. Yay. I guess.

I'm still pretty damn annoyed. Even now.

Either way there's once again nothing I'm interested in today. Even if Capcom shows Ace Attorney... it'll be Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and that will literally be it.

So see you all tomorrow. I legit am hoping for better things from Nintendo and Bandai Namco's events. But like I said... my confidence has plummeted.

    😡

I'll be the odd one out and say I wasn't disappointed with Square Enix's presentation because I honestly wasn't expecting more than the Eidos stuff. That's what it said on the tin and they delivered. Could they have, like, maybe not made us spend 15 minutes watching boring clips of the Guardians of the Galaxy game no one asked for? Yeah, but they were always going to. FF7R-2 is a good ways off and they literally just released the DLC interlude, so we weren't getting anything there. FFXIV already had its big fanfest with extended trailer and the actual expansion is too far off to show off anything more than that, so we weren't getting that. I thought there was a chance that FFXVI might get another teaser, but they admitted last year that they were probably a bit premature in showing it last year. I don't doubt it will be managed well with Yoshi P at the helm, but it was unlikely we'd see much here. I also thought we might get one final trailer for Neo: TWEWY but I wouldn't have watched it anyway because Square Enix likes to spoil endgame stuff in their final trailers. Nomura said last year that we wouldn't be getting anything exciting in 2020 and it would be real awkward trotting any announcements out the very week they shut down their underperforming mobile game. So yeah, we were never getting anything big.

Anyway, there hasn't been anything I actually want shown off at E3 yet, so I'm pretty happy. :P The less I have to spend on games, the better. Most stuff I want is slated for release this year, so I'm not unhappy that they aren't wasting time on it. I'm at the age where if I know I'm gonna get a game, I'm probably gonna get the game no matter how much of it they show off before its release. If I'm on the fence, I probably just won't buy it. The only thing I wanted to see more of this E3 was the Diamond/Pearl remakes but... since early access for the new XIV expansion starts the same day they release, I have a feeling I'll be waiting to get/play them until Christmas anyway. So they may as well not show them off lmaoo.

Oh, I do hope we see BotW 2 during the Nintendo Direct. I got Majora's Mask vibes from it, so I'd love to see that get a release window. I'm not used to Nintendo teasing stuff years in advance. Even Square Enix tries not to do that anymore.

At least Guardians of the Galaxy isn't a live service game, but I understand hesitancy because of Avengers. I also found it pointless when I seen they announced remasters of the first two life is strange games that are already on the ps4, since the remasters are being released on the same platform that the originals are on, which At least made me laugh since I already have both digitally so I am set even though I own it on a platform I'm getting last So it isn't really important.
