Rn: Healing
 
Relieved. It was a bad day- I had a chem exam I hadn't studied for and a paper I hadn't even started due at midnight (and that professor doesn't accept late submissions for credit, so I was especially nervous about this). Each would've been bad on their own, but together it was a tricky balancing act of studying and writing. A lot of the people in the class WhatsApp were saying how nervous they were for the exam, which started to rub off on me. I got too psyched out though- it wasn't that hard. Sure there were a few I was really unsure on (and one I knew I got wrong unless I happened to guess it right), but otherwise I knew what I was doing. And I managed to somehow write 2 1/2 pages in a day. I'm dogshit at essay writing, especially under time crunches. I finished a few minutes before midnight, so that was cutting it close. I'm just relieved to have those two looming things gone finally. (I was very close to calling my mom and just crying over the phone to her. She did text me before the exam to wish me luck though.)

Hmm... nervous is probably the best word.
My sister and her two kids as well as my brother and his wife and their 4 kids all caught the Omikron variant of Covid.
Which is supposedly lighter, but I'm still fidgety about it, worrying about them.

It definitely seems lighter. I haven't personally known a single person being very ill with this variant, whereas that definitely wasn't the case with the old ones 😔

It's perfectly understandable to be worried. I wish them all an incredibly speedy recovery 😊

I'm super bummed out rn. Just learned that my dad's dog (Skippy) has Canine Cognitive Dysfunction, which is essentially dog dementia. He's not my dog but I still love the heck outta that pup and learning this after having my dog put down on Christmas day last year just feels like way too much to deal with. :(

The best they can do is keep him comfortable.
