This is a PC related question. Have you guys ever stopped back and just realized how much you've changed since you first joined Pokecommunity? Tell us what's different from the old you to the new you. Or maybe you haven't changed? If so, tell us if you think you will.

Looking back at old threads and posts by me, I realized I used to be ridiculously immature. Not to mention I also typed in a really pathetic way. Did I really end every sentence with LOLz? Jesus.... Glad to see that I've grown up, and my actions can somewhat prove it.

Yeah most definitely.. I was pretty weeaboo-ish and would "*throw arms up in air* <-- do stuff like that a ton.

I joined very long ago so and I'm pretty sure PC has helped shape me as a person.

[PokeCommunity.com] From noob to novice to never been better

    ^
PC was my first forum ever and it matured me quite a bit when signing up and going to new forums. It'll be my 4th year here as of next Saturday. The people I've met here throughout those 4 years... it's made me a better person why I started here.

My real join date is 2006, and looking back on the posts of my old account makes me pretty embarrassed. u__u; Apparently I never posted until 2008 though, surprisingly.

    Here is an example:

Hi there, Roy! I hope you enjoy your stay. (: *snugattack*

    Just... ugh. That honestly makes my eyes bleed. I'll never figure out where that *snugattack* bit came from nor why it was necessary when I don't think I even knew the person I was welcoming, but oh well! That particular post was three and a half years ago. On top of that, I used smileys I now dislike like "c:" and such. XD;;

It is nice to look back and see myself conversing with a user who I later "re-met" on this new account and become friends with, though. I don't think she even remembered commenting on my very old art gallery thread from years back much less know I'm the same person!

I joined six months ago but I was a shy mofo back then. You can't say that you do/will see it anymore.

I joined in 2009 obviously but became active by mid 2011, was mostly an immature ass to most if not everyone I interacted with at the time but nowadays I've simmered down to where I occasionally post but mostly talk to my online buddies on here if anything. Granted I'm still an ass, I'm just not as hyper.

I guess...remembering back in 2010, I don't think I wasn't as *noobish* as today. But I did use a ton of smilies and CRAZY FONT COLORS OMG. I'll also admit I tried hard to make friends here when I was new, but I learned to just...be myself. :)

I don't think I've changes since I've joined here, Im much the same as I was. The only thing that has changed is I'm more active here than I was.

I don't like to look back at the way I was when I first joined PC. This place was my first forum where there was actual structure and rules were enforced so I had to adjust. I wasn't completely wild but I'd post in the wrong sections, break character limits and generally not think before posting. It makes me cringe.
Luckily I'm not like that anymore, at least not completely. I have had a few moments here and there where I haven't thought something through completely but that's about it.

I joined PC 8 years ago. I was 14. Of course I've changed since then. :p

Way back then I was more immature about everything. My spelling was awful. I wanted to be a mod so bad. I used even more smilies than I do now. Reading old posts of mine makes me cringe every time. I don't know how people put up with me sometimes.

Time to take a peek at all your old hindrances. :]

lol I'm going to sound like a snob! I wasn't really ever too noobish though! I think I revived an old thread and replied to a 4 year old post, but that's really the worst I've done. All the locked threads I have were either locked by me, got too old and were locked so they could be restarted, or were revived by someone else. And I've always had correct grammar here, and I think that when I was younger and first joined, I probably used more ^_^ faces, or faces in general. Other than that...that's really it. I've probably smartened up considerably, but who doesn't? I mean, it's been 4 years since I've joined, so yeah. I think in 2010, I placed for "Least Changed" in Member of the Year, if that's any indication for this topic lol.

Ladies and gentlemen of PC, I give you my first ever post on this forum from February 11th 2006:

Hey whats up everybody??????? I am a new member and I decided to post!!! This seems like a cool place and I just wanted to say to everybody who's already a member and hopin to make new friends!!

WOW I WAS SUPER NOT NOOBY!!!!!!!!!! AT ALL!!!!!!!!

I was actually a lot worse than that; my grammar and spelling was awful, I abused smilies to no end (I still do that, but I used the graphic ones), I also typed like "4get, 4ever, 2 day, etc. ^______________________^

Then again, I was only 14 when I joined so I'll cut my old self some slack.

I joined here 16 months ago, and I was a total noob back then... I often slipped up and didn't know the mechanics of forums. My avatars and signatures back then were only Pokemon-based themes and I had no creativity whatsoever. I had absolutely no talent.

I often found myself posting in old threads, accidentally breaking the 4 word/25 character rule and I even threatened to leave PC.

Then I started bragging about my love towards Oshawott, which had a fancy avatar come with it (courtesy of Kip), celebrated my 19th birthday and even winning not one, but two categories in the 2011 Member Of The Year poll!

Fast forward to today and I am now funny, intelligent, quirky, often looked up to and more personalized with avatars/sigs than ever before. I have now made all these friends and loads of new users now see me as a role model, I was evolving into a more advanced person. Now with a large collection of emblems (thanks Nica!) and great contribution I can certainly look back at how I drastically changed over all those months.

Oh my gosh I was such a noob back when I joined like a week ago!

But yeah, it's too early to tell in my case. I hope that I change for the better, but honestly, I'm grown, there's not much in terms of maturation, I think, that I can change at this point.

Less retarded in one way, but now more retarded in another way.

    Oh... dear God.
I try not to think back through my earlier years of PC, since I was such a n00b and also a bad person! XD

    troll that is

I was a bit snobby when I first joined, making it look like English was definitely not my first language. Even though I do make spelling mistakes from time to time, I usually correct them with the spell checker.
Although it been three years since I've been on PC
(Yes, this is still a fairly new account. Only one year old!)
I got to say, I improved better on this then my last one.
Though I do tend to break things by accident by not looking at the posting date, but I'm sorta blind.

After being banned from Bulbagarden, I decided to come join here to start a new life. When I joined here, I felt like a noob all over again. As time passed, I overcame that noobishness and eventually learned from my past forum mistakes to make my PC experience fun.
