We all have games that we'll never finish - because they have no ending, are too difficult for us, or just aren't worth finishing. What are some of yours? Would you like to finish them, or are they better off left forgotten about?

honestly any platformer. i'm dead ass not good at them. i even bought the mario 3D all-stars knowing full ass well i'm not good at mario games or platformers in general but nostalgia is a strong temptress i guess. i mean i could probably beat 64, i used to play my friend's completed file and just do the last level over and over so that's not a problem. but sunshine? she's never getting beaten. they made her hard as hell i never even beat that one as a kid. delfino boutta stay dirty lmfao.

Back in my "I need to play tough games"-phase I used to play Super Meat Boy and I Wanna Be the Guy. In the former I actually got to world 5 out of 6 but ended up getting stuck in one of the levels. In the latter I originally only went in with the goal to get to Mike Tyson and beat him. I got a little bit farther than that but ended up stuck in another screen and after a couple of hours I stopped playing.

I'm not into tough games anymore so I'm not tempted to finish either of them.

Just bought Spelunky 2 and I doubt I'll ever beat it. It's the same problem I had with the first one where I can't get a handle on how fast you move so I constantly fail jumping on enemies or attacking without running straight into them :(

hometown story :( friend got this game for me since it looked cute i think, but god it's so terribly made. really adorable and i want to love it, but they give you almost no guidance on what to do, the town layouts are confusing, navigation is odd, and it's just really clunky. maybe will try it again later, but it really seems like such a rushed game and was way overpriced when i got it.

I have never finished Skyrim, because there's 100's of hours worth of side quests and I get burnt out before touching the main story.

I'm on a playthrough right now, this might be the one I actually finish.

I sunk like 80+ hours into the most recent Assassins Creed and have yet to finish, and given I've not touched it in over a year that won't be happening any time soon 🥴

Undertale because my PS4 broke before I could play it lol.

Cop out answer but honestly... my entire backlog which is too much to list. It's just so hard to go back to a game you dropped for whatever reason years later. Although there are those titles such as Dark Souls that just aren't for me due to being unfun to me.

Persona Q... the puzzles are just too damn hard to figure out, so I'm probably never gonna get to the end of that one, Also, Glory of Heracles? I came really close, though. TWEWY, too.

    GTA V
Just couldn't get into the story at all, which was disappointing cause IV's was actually really solid. Also, lbr, just about every other game I've ever started lmao

Yeah. V's story was short enough to where I could get through it easily enough but the story itself really sucked. GTA IV was the first game that made me appreciate a story in a video game so what they did to a couple of returning IV characters really put a bad taste in my mouth. Franklin was boring and I could never feel attached to Trevor, even when we were meant to. Rockstar clearly put more care into the online modes than the single player experience with that game. I hated how easily the cops were called on you compared to past games. You could literally get a wanted level for standing on someone's lawn too long lol. Between the more awkward physics, more fragile health and janky cover system it was harder to survive prolonged shootouts with the police too. You can't really go on a carnage spree as easily as the older GTA's which was always one of the series biggest selling points.
