If you could restructure PC's forums, what would you do?

well i'd keep the mall on virtue of it being half like a month old so lol

I came to post innocently about adding a Petilil forum, but I see this thread got salty real quick so I'm gonna go now. lol
 
I'd make the whole site The Mall and watch the forum burn.

But seriously, I don't know. I guess I never really had strong feelings about how the forums are laid out. The only thing I'd do is bring back MCG just bc I miss it </3

I'm not assuming anything. People seem to be misinterpreting my feedback completely because of the way I worded it. I bet less people would object if I suggested moving the silly content to The Mall instead, but it's essentially the same thing. My only proposal is to split the Treehouse into two sections, not to make it the "shit posting section" as people seem to be assuming. Whatever these two sections are called is irrelevant. If it makes you feel better to have the Mall be the silliness section, then do that. If you create a completely new section within the Treehouse that has these threads, then that's good too. I honestly don't care how it's done. This just seemed like the most convenient suggestion. All I want is better organization of the forums so that more people can find what they want.
 
Like what's to be expected of older generation Pokemon games over time, I would merge OR/AS and X/Y into a Sixth Generation section. I'd also probably get rid of The Mall, likely due to all the confusion it's causing.
 
Mmm, so much salt in here.

Anyway, the only thing I'd do is change Pokemon Anime back to Pokemon Anime & Manga, so the focus could be both the Pokemon Anime and Manga, maybe activity would go up that way.
 
The Bulletin Board - This forum will be hidden in the category like it is now and used for the same purpose.

The Starting Pad - This forum will contain the rules of the community and also be the welcome forum.
Community Helpdesk & Support - For questions, suggestions, and feedback about PokéCommunity.
Community Engagement - This will be a hub for community run events, which includes Get Together events, PokéCommunity Daily, and other projects in the future.

All gaming forums will be reorganized according to region rather than generation number. There will be generation tags available for forums where multiple generations occur within a region with the abbreviated names of the games.

this is interesting
it certainly sorts out my dilemma about what to do with the leftover parts of general entertainment

the only thing i can think of that wouldn't have a place following the changes are the three or so sports threads - but if people remain interested, they could certainly vote for a sports section to replace the mall once the three months are up
particularly when the olympics start and the entire planet decides they care about sports for the month

music
and forum/webmaster discussion​

Oops. I completely forgot about sports because I usually don't care about them enough tbh.

I... didn't know I wanted this until I read this and now I'm annoyed it isn't the case.

If manga is being lumped in with books, let's lump all other types of comics in, too, and explicitly state it.

I'd also add a sports section if these were broken out this way, but I actually have an interest in sports so that's why I'd do that.

With that in mind, if Books and Manga are together, would it not make more sense for Anime to be with Film & Television?

I also find it a little strange that Music is with Film & Television but Books aren't, as I'd argue Books and Film & Television are more similar than Music is with either.
