I'm Drunk!

Loads of times. Getting drunk with friends is fun. I guess that makes me a delinquent of sorts, considering drinking age here is 21 (I'm 19), but getting turnt and partying is pretty damn fun. It sucks when you end up spilling it all over your clothes (happened at the last party I was at, and I completely forgot). Not much else to say besides the fact that I'm a funny drunk, according to my friends. I can't have coke and rum anymore though =/ I learned that carbonation and alcohol do not mix well for me, since it's been the source of every intimate toilet bowl experience I've ever had.

I drink, but I don't drink to the point where I get drunk. Tipsy maybe, but not drunk. I don't like losing control. Alcoholism runs in my family so its something I am very careful of.

What does it mean to be drunk? I insist that I have never been drunk, but maybe I've been borderline drunk? Am I not on the same page as everybody else?

Yeah, I'm glad someone finally said something, because initially reading this thread, I was like..this aversion to drinking is ridiculous. It's not something ~terrible or something that causes you to do super awful things/etc. Everyone handles alcohol differently. I, myself, am kind of a lightweight.

I probably drink maybe twice a week. It depends. I mean, if I'm out with friends, yeah, I'll probably drink. While I've been drunk a few times, I've never been like..~blackout drunk. I mean, I've had like one unfortunate evening where I vomited a few times into a toilet, and fell asleep on the bathroom floor for a little bit, but beyond that..I'm pretty good about remembering everything that happens when I'm drunk.

Most of the time, though, I'll try to keep an open dialogue with my boyfriend or someone we're out with about drinking, so that one of us can stop drinking early enough to sober up by the time we leave.

The most important thing about drinking is to be responsible. :<

Oh yes. Many times. And many more times to come. It really isn't so bad. It takes like, a couple of bad instances to work out your limits, unless you never go past them; in which case go you! But yeah, I too sense that some of the aversion to alcohol here is quite... high? Anyway, like Sansa Stark before me, I too am a quite the lightweight. It's not so bad, I don't have to pay so much to get drunk XD

I probably have a drink of alcohol most weekends. Maybe during the week if I feel like it. I've been drunk during the week but I've only been wasted once, to the point where I can't work the next day that is. I do go out with friends and get drunk not regularly but seemly often. I don't make a twat of myself much, but if I drink too much when my mood has been low, that's asking for trouble. But I know that, so I don't do it.

The one thing about being drunk, is that you should drink for enjoyment, and not for social acceptance or to 'feel better'. Neither of those go well when mixed with alcohol. Don't do it. And be responsible. That's not hard to do, and ensures that a good time is had by all (mostly, you can't be responsible for everyone now can you?).

And I've had some really funny experiences with le alcohol. So I'll keep doing that thankee!

Hmmm... very interesting thread. It seems like there are a decent number of underage drinkers on here (not judging; I did the same thing). There's a mix of people who vehemently oppose alcohol and those who don't necessarily have an aversion to it. That's fine; everybody has a personal preference and reasoning behind it. Coming up on 1 year completely clean and sober in 14 days and having used drugs and alcohol for about 10 years, I just want to give one piece of advice to people:

Regardless of who you are, alcohol will lower your inhibitions. If you're not drinking responsibly, you open yourself up to the possibility of making decisions you wouldn't normally do sober. Think about it: everybody has at least one story where he or she did something they later regretted while intoxicated. If you're going to drink, be careful. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

That's all!

Edit: Oh, and under no circumstances should you ever drink and drive!

I had a feeling you were drinking lol.

I had a couple of glasses of wine a bit ago.

What is Angry Orchid though, the name sounds familiar

Shhhhh drinking is fun ayyyyy.

Angry Orchid is a hard apple cider, I've gone through an entire case lolol.

I drink way too much Jack Daniels then I probably should...

Fuck it. I should. Too far gone.

I hate the smell of alcohol which means it'll taste bad, and I always hear bad stories about drunk people getting into violent outcomes. That's why I always steer clear.

I used to drink a loooooot back when I was living in California. Lime-a-rita's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Redd's Apple Ale, Tecate, etc. Now I've cut back, and feeling more sober than before. However, when I CAME BACK to California last week, I drank half a bottle of this mofo right here.

Spoiler:

possibly my new favorite alcoholic drink.

I could really use a Tecate beer or a Corona right now.

No, and I never will. I have my reasons for it, partially religious and also me not wanting to do anything that's going to impair my judgement. But I'll never drink.
