Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, and Fidough revealed in latest Direct

[PokeCommunity.com] Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, and Fidough revealed in latest Direct

What do you think of them and why is Paldean Wooper perfect?

Fidough is a clever name, even if the design is mediocre as hell.

Paldean Wooper is...eh. It's fine I suppose. Not a fan of the mud brown.

Cetitan is just badly designed all around and the ice-type deserves better.

Honestly my enthusiasm is kinda...gone, at this point. There isn't much to say because there isn't really anything worth commenting on.

I really love the Cetitan. It might be because it is an Ice Type, but I love the pokemon and its design. I think it might be the evolution of a smaller pokemon, but I am not certain. I can't imagine it evolving it something else.

Fidough is super cute, but it is another food, dog pokemon that is also Fairy which I don't think we needed another one. I think the colors could have been slightly better. But I love food pokemon and ones that can help cook.

Paldean Wooper I am indifferent about. I've never been a fan of Wooper. I really like the color though and the design is great for a variant.

Paldean Wooper is the star of the show and I will not hear otherwise. Absolutely hype that cute little beb is in the game. Fidough I am more intrigued about what it will evolve into rather than its current design and Cetitan I'm just so perplexed by, cool design though!

I have a lot of friends who love Wooper but the lil guy quite never worked for me. Turns out, Spanish woopers are superior and that's probably why I couldn't enjoy the inferior Japanese breed.

Oh god, both Cetitan and Fidough look like those AI-generated Fakemon. Who do I have to complain to about this?

Paldean Wooper, though, is perfect in every way. I'm laughing because I can totally see the Fuchsia family (Koga and Janine) with this thing's evolution on their teams, with what their Poison-type speciality and their Gym's proximity to the marshy Safari Zone. And of course, their suspected Paldean origins.

I love all the new Pokemon in today trailer, except for the new Koraidon's forms. I really don't understand why it has wheels lol: not only it doesn't use them, but it always looks kinda bad. Tastes, I guess though.
I have never really liked Koraidon, but from today I love Miraidon even more.

  • Fidough: Eh. Is not a dog person. Feels too similar to Yamper (color-wise) and Slurpuff (always viewed it as a bit doggish).
  • Paldean Wooper: Shrugs. Looks like Wooper still.
  • Cetitan: Okay? Why is its mouth that shape? Is this just Ice Wailord (with spikes)? Looks slow. How well do slow Ice types ever perform, even with Thick Fat and Slush Rush?

Paldean Wooper is kinda chocolate colored and making me hungry 🤤
It's okay I guess, never been a Wooper fan tbh.

Fidough is not interesting to me at all. I'm not big on dogs and this one looks worse than already existing Pokemon dogs.

Cetitan.... I'm gonna need some time to process this one rofl... such a weird looking thing.

This, this, this! I'm loving how smooth Miraidon looks, especially in its motorcycle and jet plane forms! I'm leaning closer and closer to getting Violet the more I see of Miraidon. Just hope it has a red shiny because I just love the color red, but I don't mind much anyway. :D

Here, have a Snickers. You're not you when you're hungry. There's no way I'm letting you eat that boy.

I really hate this Wooper and regional forms in general. I still can't get over Game Freak continuing to make these lazy and uninspired regional forms. When will this silly trend end? Pokémon can do much better without regional forms. All the space wasted on these forms could be used to put in other Pokémon from previous games or, better yet, even more new ones. I believe they contribute to ruining the series, personally. As for Fidough, I don't really care for it. It looks like a Pokémon that would only be a PokéDex entry for me. Cetitan looks like it might be a female-only species because of its feminine features, but I could be wrong. Either way, I can't imagine it having a lot of speed, but it looks like it might be a really good physical attacker with good physical defense as well. If so, I might put her on one of my bulky offense teams. I guess we have to wait and see until the game comes out.

If their attack and defensive stats are good enough, they could be good revenge killers on bulky offense teams, especially in Hail.

Well, sometimes we get inspired regional forms, such as Farfetch'd or Slowking... and sometimes we get what's basically painting a Pokémon with a different color and changing a few details (even fan games usually do better than that) I guess there's no need to say which category Paldean Wooper belongs to. If it looks good, it's because it looks just like the one we know but with a color swap, so there's no merit in that.

But I suppose Quagsire is what really matters. Cetitan looks good to me, Fidough not so much but we'll have to see it in a 3D environment.
