I checked the list of national holidays in your country, and I can tell, you're unlucky: 5 holidays out of 9 fall on a weekend 😢

It's 6 out of 11 if we count local holidays. From the 5 remaining ones 3 are fixed weekdays (like Easter always has a Friday and the following Monday) and from the remaining 2, 1 is a local holiday. So basically, only one variable holiday actually mattered. The saddest part is: My last "free" day was October 31st. Some other places in my country celebrate November 1st, which this year was a Monday. ^^"

I think there was a short period of time where politicians where considering something like this. But nothing ever came of it. It's either because other things are currently more important or some specific people didn't like it. Specifically: people with way too much power. <_<
