Unique features

Maybe you are left-handed or ambidextrous, extra tall or short, have freckles, a double row of eyelashes, a mole, heterochromia, red hair, vitiligo, albinism, an outie belly button or a port wine? This thread is here to celebrate any unusual feature that's part of what makes you yourself, and not easily confused with someone else.

I have a very large birthmark that sits high on the front of my thigh, it's almost the size of my hand and shaped kinda like a big pair of open wings. It would make it very hard to impersonate me because of that distinctive mark that not many people know I have got. Shorts cover it, and most swim suits would conceal it as well. I don't mind it being there though. It's not unattractive, and It's part of me. I call that mark a butterfly, and have since childhood.

Can you think of something uncommon about you? You're all beautiful by the way! No right or wrong answers here.

I'm left handed.

I'm also uniquely flexible and can bend my legs into weird positions, such as completely over my head and behind my shoulders in a sitting position.

I have a skin-colored/clear birthmark in the middle of my forehead, and keep having to tell cosmetologists that it's not a pimple. haha

I was born with (or developed early on) some kind of pressure issues in my ears, and have heard different things from doctors on what could be causing it (from allergies to fluid to tilted eardrums/tubes causing negative pressure). No one's been able to give me a clear answer. But because of that, my ears pop a lot, and I often have to do a little sniffle thing to make them go back to normal. I'm not sick or anything!!

Most of my key features contribute...negatively to my appearance. I have keloids covering my shoulders and back and it's the first thing people notice. Strangers will blatantly ask or make speculations. I've been accused of having measles and leprosy.
But having them is worse, they always itch and catch on my clothes, effectively barring me from wearing anything on my top half unless necessary. Like I wish people would be more courteous.

Along with this, my breasts have essentially been brutalized by a botched reduction and my face looks constantly swollen with how big and fat it is. However, rather than say "I wish I were pretty", I say that everyone should be afforded the same courtesies and opportunities regardless of appearance.

I was born with very weak eyelid muscles. I can fully open my eyes but my eyelid muscles tire out so fast that they start drooping/blocking part of my vision very quickly. I get told I have very unique eyes because of it. Optometrist is keeping an eye out on it to see if it gets any worse but overall it's OK to live with, I'm glad I at least have enough muscle strength to keep them fully open in photos. Sad though because it's hard to apply good eye makeup :(

I also get told I have really small hands by a lot of people and have yet to meet someone who is my age and has smaller hands. I don't know if that is a good thing but it has never bothered me :D

Discussing unique features, are we?

Well, the veins on my left hand form an "N", and it's not something you have to focus very hard to see; it's very noticeable!
Same thing with my left foot, but it forms an "F"!

The weird thing is, NF are my name's initials! Crazy, right? 😁

As lame as it sounds, I always get complimented on two features.
  • Eyelashes. Really full eyelashes that women always love to point out it seems.
  • A huge smile! Like EVERYONE I meet mentions my smile (could be a bad thing depending on how creeped out you are by it ahahah).
It's nothing fancy or unique but considering how often it crops up, I'd like to think it's somehow different at least.

My ears have a strange shape, the top part is not round but somewhat curved on the inside.
I'm very short for a male (165 cm / 5 feet 5).
I have a callus on the last phallanx of my right ring finger due to the way I hold a pen. Now it's disappearing because I have rarely used a pen these years.

And I'm constantly smiling too :)

Bonus for those who know a bit about bodybuilding: almost all my muscles are short ('short" meaning that I have more tendon than muscle, this is not something you can change by developing your muscles ^^"). It means that I'll never be "that" aesthetic, and it also means that I am as flexible as a wooden plank.

I have quite a lot of moles or "beauty marks" as I prefer to call them, and the ones on my legs are like constellations you see in the night sky. I have this cute row of them that are perfectly aligned on my right thigh, too. Nobody ever sees them because I never show my legs without stockings, so an impersonator would get caught out if they didn't have my unique beauty marks.

I've also been told I have features that remind people of olden times, like Renaissance portraits, with my very fair skin, oval face and petite lips. Perhaps not during my day-to-day living but when I get dressed up, this is something I often hear.

And I have a streak of grey hair, I've had it since I was a kid after my dad left, apparently. It's kind of hard to notice against my natural hair colour but in the sunlight it can be quite visible.

Does that mean it was you who posed for the Mona Lisa? 😂

I am left handed, ambidexterous in a lot of things (playing baseball I would pitch left handed and play infield right handed) and my eyes are kind of wierd. Depending on the light, they can look blue or green (green with more light) and there are streaks of yellow in them as well.

Being able to use both hands to do stuff like sports, writing sounds cool! Also I did always want to try out baseball but it's not a played sport here. 😅

I think one of my eyelids is more hooded than another, so one looks slightly more closed than the other... I don't particularly like it, especially when only one of my eyes reflects the light (since the other eyelid blocks the light).
I have really long eyelashes, but I don't like them because they always brush against my glasses and I have to clean them constantly.
It's done this for 3 years now and I don't know why, but my jaw clicks sometimes. If I shift it side to side I can hear it, and sometimes I can make it loud enough for other people to hear. It doesn't hurt me at all, but it is annoying when I'm eating and I hear it clicking.
And one more thing I'll put here, I can my makes my irises vibrate. Oddly enough I figured out I did this when I was sleepy, and now I can do it any time. It works best when I get really close to something, which is good when I get in people's faces and scare them.

I'm a woman who's 5'11 (180 centimetres), so I suppose that's relatively uncommon.

I have freckles on my nose, they're much more visible and become more pigmented when I'm tan in the summer.

I'm 5'10! High fives!
Forbids me from wearing a nice heel though.

Yay! Tall girls unite!! Honestly though, I used to refrain from wearing heels myself, but there's something powerful about being 6'2 in a pair of stilettos and towering over most men I cross paths with.
