Vote on your Favorite Protagonist!​

Hello and welcome to a new multi-platform event, that will last several weeks!

In this event, your objective is to vote for your favorite Pokémon protagonist across a series of polls. To begin, we will start by region*, and see who is the favourite protagonist from each area**. Afterwards, the winner will form a tournament round, where we will do 4 sets of up to 4*** winners, and then take the top two options from there into 2 sets of four, then a final poll.

Where can I vote?

You can vote for the first set of people in this thread at the top - the Kanto nominees! You can also vote on our social media pages: Twitter (will use its own poll system), Bluesky (a Google poll), Instagram (a Google poll) and Facebook (a Google poll). Yes, it's better to not go around voting multiple times, but we won't be monitoring things that closely. But don't cheat, that's just boring. This means the winner of each poll will be from all polls (here, Twitter, Google poll) added together, not per platform.

Polls will run roughly 4 days, and be posted every week as a new thread (or on social media, as a new post). We may speed things up for the spin-off regions.

Meanwhile, share some propaganda for your pick each week! Take about why you're voting for your character, and make fun of the others (respectfully, of course). We'll also use the results and input for a Daily article summarising the whole event once it ends.

* Hisui will be treated as separate to Sinnoh.
** Spinoff games will also be considered! Orre will feature, while we will also consider the Ranger games' regions separately, but lump the Snap/New Snap regions (and hence protagonists) together.
*** We may see what the Legends: Z-A protags look like before we hit the tournament phase... pending TPC(i). If so, we'll do a poll on them! Otherwise, one set of 4 polls will have less options... Or we can consider a second chance for the losing protag with the most amount of votes!

Rules

1. No Trolling - This includes things like voting on behalf of other users, inputting joke responses in the Google Forms, using bots or creating alt accounts to try and game the voting system, and other dishonest activities. Please don't do that stuff.
2. Have Fun - We all love Pokémon, and we hope that you derive enjoyment and have a good time with this event!

Previous Polls

Kanto: Red, in a narrow win over Leaf! Chase and Elaine were well behind.
Johto: Kris, in another narrow win over Gold! In fact, Gold won on the forums, but not in the other two platforms. Lyra was a distant third.
Hoenn: May, in the first clear victory in these series of polls. Brendan and his hat were no match.
Sinnoh: Dawn, who basically murdered poor Lucas in the polls.
Unova: Hilda, in a very narrow victory over Rosa (only 2 votes as the difference). This time third place had a respectable turnout (Hilbert), while Nate did okay but was comfortably fourth.
Orre: Wes won out - Michael got some votes especially on Twitter, but couldn't keep up with the cool teen.
Kalos (XY): Serena. It was even on Twitter, but everywhere else, especially on the forums, she ran out comfortably.

Honestly they're both not that great, but if I was forced to choose, Elio. His name is unique unlike cough Selene whose name is so close to Serena. But, I don't really care for either of these designs because they're kids from Kanto. Also these two are infamous for having no emotion on their face at all times. :|

I have, no love for these games. No good memories of named protags I liked, or stories I made up to go along with the games. Pretty much nothing. Of the two, I like the female outfits more than the male ones, so that's what I'm going with. (although the default hat looks silly)

I haven't played these games yet, but I like Sun & Moon's Selene the most out of these four designs. I'm not particularly a strong fan of any of these, however, and expect to vote against the winner here in a round two match.

Only 3DS games I don't own. As usual, Female PC wins by default because the Male PC outfits are pretty same-ish.

Selene's default USUM outfit is the only one I particularly like out of the four there, so she gets my vote.

I like Selene more. She's cute and I love that Pokemon Masters Ex made a joke out of her blank stare. I don't remember Elio having any quirky personality things about him. Unique name though.

I can't say I am a fan of either, but I always lean towards the female protagonists more, so Selene.

Never knew their names were Elio and Selene. Named after the Greek gods of the sun and the moon, respectively. That's pretty neat. Anyways, Selene's design looks nicer to me?

I like original SuMo Elio a lot. He's so much better than Selene with her wanna-be Brandon hat. On the other hand, I really like Selene's Ultra design. Ultra Elio looks like an annoying child, to be honest. I'm voting Elio this time!

I think many people might consider an individual region easy (even if the overall results are competitive), but it would get harder and harder to decide which trainer I prefer as they cross regions.
