americans, have you already voted? if you have, what was your experience like this year? do you plan on watching the election tomorrow and are you doing anything special for it?

pls keep this casual idc who you are voting for

I haven't voted yet because Alabama is backwards and doesn't do the mail in votes, from what I've gathered. I have the day off work tomorrow thankfully, so I'll have time to throw to the wind and head out to vote instead of rushing to the polls after work like I originally thought I would have to do.

I actually didn't vote in the 2012 election. I didn't care for either candidate at the time, but I also just really didn't understand the gravity of voting. I registered too late for the primaries this year because holy shit I didn't realize Alabama makes you do it so damn early. But yeah.

Also lol when I was a kid and I'd ask my mom who she voted for, she would say you're not supposed to ask people who they vote for. Yet people advertise it all over their cars and houses and clothes so was I the only one raised that way???? Haha.

heading to the polls tomorrow. i'm pretty sure i've voted ever since i've been able to. i work for the school system so naturally we're off. my city is really encouraging you to vote. they're having shuttles, and the city bus is free tomorrow too.

cant vote but i urge you all to do so

gonna head out tomorrow as soon as the polls open at 7. should've played them and absentee voted weeks ago but i forgot.

Mailed it in a few days ago. All set, all done. Really needed to see about the measures and propositions more than anything. Pfizer was telling people to vote no on Prop. 61. I just wanted to let you know that if you voted no on Prop. 61, you were duped by the drug corporations, yet again.

I'm voting in the morning. I wasn't going to, but then I found out I could go to work 2 hours late, avoid rush hour traffic and get paid for those 2 hours if I vote in the morning. So yea.

I've said it so much recently... worst birthday present ever.

    My sentiments of this election.
    Spoiler:

Final vote? A plane ticket out of here..... I hear New Zealand and Ireland are encouraging Americans to move there if unhappy with the election... Maybe...

I'm not an American but best of luck to you guys!

I voted a couple weeks ago! No way I was going to get election day off so I did the mail-in ballot.

I originally planned on not voting, but there were some amendments on the state ballot that really rubbed me the wrong way.

Also lol when I was a kid and I'd ask my mom who she voted for, she would say you're not supposed to ask people who they vote for. Yet people advertise it all over their cars and houses and clothes so was I the only one raised that way???? Haha.
Nope, always raised that way too. Only in recent years have my parents even told me who they've voted for.

I always vote if I can, both local and national. (Obviously I won't be voting today though lmao)

i get dragged out for random local elections that i know nothing abt bc my friend is super invested in politics idk but i make sure to vote for school board and presedential and senate/congress every time for sure :) i thought abt voting early but i disnt get around to it so my housemates and i are walking over to the polling place as a group~ this is gonna be my first time voting since i moved tho so new polling place idk what to expect from that but the last place was staffed by super friendly and helpful people

also im pretty sure employers legally have to give you time off to vote? maybe thats just my state

I voted. Got up early. The polls opened at 7 AM. My polling place wasn't that busy, never is. But then my state doesn't try to make it hard to vote so lots of people could and did vote by mail early.

Apparently not every state has ballot initiatives? Just learned that this morning. We had 17. That took some time to go through.
