I really like Arcanine, Lilligant and Avalugg. Neutral on most of the others, but I freaking hate Qwilfish and the Ursaring Evo. And I am fairly disappointed in the Sliggoo/Goodra. I had a feeling they would be worse than the original do to the shells, but I thought they would look different. With Typhlosion, I really need to see the flames first.

As for Legends.... I don't understand what the new genie pokemon is suppose to represent. What Force of Nature is it? The only thing I can think of is maybe Volcanos, but they could have done a much better job... I just.... I don't know.... maybe we they explore the lore on it, I will like it more. But currently, I don't see a point to add it.

As for Dialga and Palkia, I can't help but wonder.... what the heck. They look freaking weird and terrible.

Also I really want to point out that.... people, they are form changes. When it is a form change, the pokemon will not look drastically different. Just look are Diglett and Dugtrio. They will always looks similar. They have to to keep the idea of it just being a hisuian form. They are not evolutions. And it is Regional Variants are different from actual different forms like Lycanroc or Oricorio.

New Pokémon names just leaked, you can look around. I'm laughing because of how clever a pun Sneasler's name is. It looks like a bigger Sneasel... therefore, it looks Sneasel-er!

Enamorus though... more like Enemy-orus. From the moment I saw him, he reminded me of HIM from The Powerpuff Girls. And yeah, I know the Forces of Nature are jackasses, but this one looks to me like the most evil of the four simply because of the aforementioned resemblance. Sheesh.

OMG THE BATTLE THEMES. I LOVE THEM. I have always been a fan of Dialga and Palkia's theme and it sounds truly AMAZING. That's the best version I have ever heard. I m so sad it has to match those ugly forms tho T T

I am disgusted looking at them lol. I m getting more used to them but I was like "wait, what?". What truly makes me mad is that there's no reference to the lore in their forms, as far as I know. Like, when u see Palkia. where's the Dragon type? or the water type lol. Dialga and Palkia are probably inspired by Izanami and Izanagi, who are beautiful Gods, how tf they came out with those designs? T T
I really hope they're placeholders or something lol. Ik Dialga cannon in the throat may be a reference to Roar of Time, but Palkia without arms? Totally makes no sense lol. I think I'll reference these new forms as a new level of horrible: when something is so bad designed that everything is so wrong and u can't even know where to start. I think I am just really angry and frustrated that this happened to my favorite legendaries tbh.
That said, their new themes are amazing. I have always been a fan of Dialga and Palkia theme and I really love these variations. I am enjoying many new things announced by leaks. I am just very disappointed by these new forms. I hope it won't feel like gen5. I loved gen5 story but I hate basically all of the pokemon in that game, so it was harsh for me to actually enjoy the gameplay despite the amazing story. Also, kinda sorry for venting lol. My babies Dialga and Palkia have been treated really bad.

Hisuian Lilligant is a Physical Attacker which is a little surprising but regular Lilligant learns Swords Dance despite being a Special Attacker.

Her Shiny is the same colouration as a regular Lilligant so I will definitely be Shiny hunting a Petilil in PLA.

I like most of the new forms.

I'm.. ehh about the whole lot of them. Still gonna wait until we get animated models before making a decision, but none of them really stand out to me as something outstanding.

Gonna wait on final thoughts on all of them, but out of curiosity, does anyone know if they typings of all the new pokemon/forms have been leaked as well? I haven't really been able to find anything on typings. I know the games are 100% out in the wild, just don't know when types would be released which is what I am most interested in.

I couldn't help myself. I looked at the leaked pokedex and squealed in delight...for the most part. It's got me badly wanting to play this game.

Though these pokemon were already revealed, and I was pretty excited about them, I still must say that I'm even more psyched after seeing their shiny forms.

Hisuian Zorua line and Braviary look even cooler, especially Braviary going all raven colored and a bit of ultraviolet in the plume on it's head. I must have these Pokemon.

Hisuian Arcanine! I knew it was coming, but it's so majestic. I had my hopes up when I saw the sweet Growlithe, but the final form takes it too a whole different level. They did a brilliant job design-wise, I just love all the grey smoke making tufts of fur around his paws, deeper tones of red in the coat and the coal black mane and ruff. The crest on his head looks regal and mighty, the pointed edges to the fur remind me of a crown yet also spades and fire pokers. As I understand it the inspiration is taken from guardian statues that keep evil spirits away from shrines in Japan.

I had mixed feelings about

the starters when I saw the alternative forms. I was planning on picking Rowlet, but changing course after the leaks. I am not happy with the direction that Decidueye unexpectedly went in, I don't know what happened to it's legs and the more abstract Cacturne face it has. I agree with what YouTuber Blaines said, it looks like a scarecrow. For me this is a pass.

I think the more achromatic color changes on Samurott look good on it, but I think it also looks the closest of the three to the original form, and I would've liked to see them push the envelope a wee bit more.

I will probably go with Cyndaquil now as my choice, though the new Typhlosion has a derpy expression I'll admit, and it makes me wonder if it's going to have a speed drop because he looks just dazed and like he could move slowly like numel or slakoth, but when it's flames are coming out I think that orchid-colored fire is really nice, so it kinda changes the whole character of the pokemon and it looks fierce again.

A pleasant surprise was

seeing what they did with Lilligant. I like this new form for it, and would catch this Pokemon. I wonder since Lilligant is normally exclusively female, if this line on this region might be all male kinda like the way Gallade's are. I feel like he could be an elvish prince of the forest, or better yet he could be Spectre from the ballet Le Spectre de la Rose.

Those are the Pokemon that left the strongest impression on me atm.

I intended to stay fully unspoiled but had a few spoilers catch me off guard, and once that seal was broken I checked out the rest.

I don't like to be negative, especially considering the game hasn't come out yet, but I'm pretty underwhelmed, to be honest. It seems like they had some sort of overarching theme/idea that they really committed to, but it absolutely hasn't paid off.

To be very specific… what is up with Typhlosion, and why does it seem like they've missed the point of their own creation. Typhlosion, in sprites and anime, has always been an awesome, fierce, fire-spitting beast. The fire on its back is instrumental in making it look cool. For the past 3 generations, it's been totally crippled with its idling 3D model not showing the flames, and instead of rectifying that by having a design with more prominent fire, they've doubled-down and made it EXTRA chill. Still spouts fire from its back, but yikes does it's idle model look poor.

That's how I feel about the majority of them; the designs don't look great. The Palkia/Dialga looking like fusions with (or at least offspring of) Arceus is a really cool idea, but they could've been executed in a far cleaner and better looking.

Not a fan of the new genie at all. Heard it's Fairy type, and at this stage I'm sick of Fairy types. Heard it's called Volcanus, though, which implies Fire type (also… they're really gonna call a Pokémon Volcanus?)

I am still excited for the game because it's introducing many new interesting things. I am really disappointed about the new designs. The same thing you said about Typhlosion applies to Dialga and Palkia tbh. I can maybe understand the fact that they look different because this game has its own aesthetic. Looking at some in game pics they look a lil better indeed. This sounds like gen 5 btw lol. Anyway, I just can't see why they keep their dragon typing lol. I mean Palkia looks like a fighting type and Dialga like a ghost type. Where's the dragon part in these designs? idk lol. Also, it just makes me sad because Dialga and Palkia are inspired from two Japanese Gods: Izanami and Izanagi. As far as I know there's no reference in Izanami and Izanagi's story about centaurs and chocking lol. So, it feels awful that they literally had a vast basis to come up with new amazing designs but they couldn't. But idk,

About the new genie, I have never been a fan of that trio, so it hurts less than Dialga and Palkia. I have mixed feelings about it. I think that's one of the ones I like more between the genies. I like the idea of the snake. It still looks weird but I feel like I could quite like it more than the others. That's the thing about these new designs btw. They are bad and totally different from usual pokemon games style. Maybe we actually need some time and seeing them in game. Who knows...

Has anyone taken a look at the customization stuff? Because so far I am also disappointed with some of the clothing options. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they were made unisex for this game, but... tell me, what is the point of stuff like a tailored suit and bandit outfits if we're traversing a cold region? Something like a longer kimono or a cloak would have been ideal to include, yet it seemingly wasn't. It's also odd that they introduced ninja outfits in this game when they would have been more fitting in LGPE, which... actually features a city with a population of ninjas. Don't remind me that there's apparently no Koga ancestor in this game...

I do love the hairstyles, though - specifically the curled hairstyle for the female player character! I just wish I were able to match that with something similarly grandiose but practical. Ah, well, there's always the Pearl clan outfit...

i know most people don't like the dialga or palkia designs but i think they're pretty good. legendaries are meant to be kind of freaky. i like that dialga has a spaceship in the middle of its throat, its very funny. i also really like a lot of the other pokemon designs too, big fan of typhlosion it's also funny.
