All time favorite pokemon character!

Blue from RBY is my favorite. It's really cool how he's built up throughout the entire game before you face him as champion.

Probably Arven from Scarlet/Violet. Clarifies something on this. Chooses Arven for being the most interesting, not the most likeable. Starts off pretty bad. Learned more about his situation. Understood why he reacted like that. Felt like a very real character.

Appreciated the bond between Mabosstiff and Arven too. Talks about a bond between trainer and Pokemon throughout the games. How often do you see people and Pokemon interacting outside of battle in the main games, though? Thinks of Lillie and Nebby, Leon and Charizard, and maybe Yamper and Sonia. Cannot recall N and Zorua interacting at all (as someone who played Black over a decade ago and not Black 2/White 2). Discovered some information about Gladion and Type: Null, but mostly with neither present. Liked Arven and Mabossiff for capturing that bond well. Argues that to be the real essence of Pokemon's story, more so than the battles and catching them all. (Views the battles and Pokedex completion as the grease for the wheels.)

Probably Roy (Barry) from Platinum. Not sure how I'd feel about him if it wasn't for the character RP I was doing for that run, but I still remember it fondly!
Don't really care much about the characters in Pokemon games in general though.

I like Mela, from Scarlet/Violet. Very relatable past (I was bullied a lot growing up), similar personalities, and generally same attitude. Though I have to say that I don't understand style, it still is a cool thing to love fire types. 🔥

Out of the girls, Lillie. I absolutely adore her design and her personality is just so sweet too. The anime made me love her even more. <3

From the boys it's kind of hard to decide, I adore Ilima, N, Cheren, Cilan, Volo... like how do I pick?? Lillie is my #1 so it's an easy choice there but for the boys I feel like a lot more of them on the same level. Gotten pretty attached to Arven too.

For Male Character

Ash Ketchum. He is the first person who always comes to mind when thinking of Pokemon. He is such an iconic person who carried the franchise to the fame which it had gathered. And personally for me, I remember watching him when I came back from school, and the show used to air on TV, hence my all Pokemon experience had started due to him. I remember that I used to use lines when sending/switching Pokemon like him while playing the games during the new-new Pokemon experience.

Sadly I hadn't watched any episodes of Pokemon after the end of Sinnoh......

For Female Character

No one comes to the mind, at the moment, because my Pokemon journey was all along seeing Ash Ketchum, hence didn't payed attention to anyone else that much !!

For Pokemon

Giratina-O. I had always enjoyed the Distortion World puzzles, and also feel that it was left very much unexplored in terms of potential. And that sort of puzzles are very much interesting to me.

Saturn from DPPT. One of the Galactic Commanders, but a lot less shallow than Mars or Jupiter, and more deep, determined, and intelligent. Might be biased cause Bronzong and Toxicroak are two of my favourite mons. Honourable mentions goes to Elesa and Brycen, two gym leaders from my generation. I love Elesa's lack of an ego despite her status and how surprisingly canny she is on certain things (as shown when she's speaking to Bianca's dad) and Brycen manages to stay involved in the second game through an underrated side plot, having his own backstory with it.

Goh! I love him as a character in Pokémon Journeys, such a sweet boy!

He's just too darn cute! He's also pretty much relatable in my opinion, he just wants to catch every Pokémon from each region, including Mew.

And he is a pretty smart boy

LILLIE! I love her... 🤍

She honestly might be my favourite Pokemon character. I thought she was incredibly sweet my first time playing through Sun and Moon, and the scene on Exeggutor Island with her genuinely made me kinda blushy crushy for her... I remember looking up a bunch of cute ship art of Lillie and Selene and I don't think that's a thing I've done for any other Pokemon character before. She's a big reason why I love the Gen VII games so much, not just for her being an interesting character in story but... just for being cute. I like cute girls...

I do really like Klara too. She's kind of a stuck up brat and I... kinda like that about her? Like the contrast between how cute she tries to act and how devious she really is makes me laugh, I remember thinking it was really cool how she just straight-up cheats when battling you and throws out free Toxic Spikes on the field. It's something that made her really stand out to me because I've never seen it done by any other trainer and it just seems like the exact type of thing her kind of character would do.

Usually if I like any other characters it's just for their appearance or maybe one little character quirk they have. Characters like Marley, Cynthia, Courtney, Marnie, Erika, Mars, Kahili, Clair, Dahlia, and Anabel.
I have a huge soft spot for Acerola and I am completely totally normal about the Gen VI Hex Maniac design. I have a thing for spooky/ghost girls too...

I've always thought the main series don't really get enough screen time to really make an impact to me, but that's fine because Gengar from PMD Rescue Team exists.

Spoiler: Spoilers for the game, in case some of you care.

Kieran and N have to be my favorites as of late. I enjoy both of the characters in a writing and aesthetic perspective. (Also I relate to Kieran too much to be normal, but whatever)
