Serious Have you had the vaccine yet?

Has anyone been experiencing changes in sleep and/or feel disturbed in any way emotionally after taking the vaccine?

For me there's a lot less physical pain than there was 3 days ago, but I still feel tired and in the middle of the day, and can suddenly fall asleep for hours. This is not normally how I am. I am usually a night owl, yet I find myself tiring out and going to bed really early, and still feel worn the next day. I have been having really strange, hyper realistic dreams these last few days, and they're not all nice. Nightmares are something I unfortunately have a history with, so it might not be related to having the vaccine. I have noticed however that I am having several of them in a night, every single night, back to back, often in succession like sequels, and they seem to be more and more vivid. Usually I have nightmare that shakes me up, and then I am normal for a while, with more mundane dreams in the coming days.

I am also just feeling flat and down pretty much all day long, every day in this state of gray melancholy. Usually I feel bright and alive in the summer. I have anxiety, but not so much depression. It comes sometimes, but this is constant I just feel drugged out right now, and have no interest in things I usually enjoy. I'm trying to rationalize what exactly might be happening to me. Could I be having a more adverse reaction to as a result of the vaccine interacting with another medication like the pain meds? Are changes in body temperature (i still have the side effects of chills) making it more difficult for my body to regulate the rem sleep, thus more nightmares? Is because I feel tired and weak that I am just not able to take full care of myself, and not eatting enough nutrition, and I feel down as a result?

I don't know exactly what's happening to me and what is causing it, but whatever it is I don't like it at all, and whatever is taking me over, I know this isn't me. Lost and confused in the fog.
 
I had my first shot of pfizer on the 20th.
No side effects aside from tenderness in the area for a few days.

My mom is the same, she had the same one.

We get our flu shots each year though, so I'm not new to vaccines.

EDIT: I think you're supposed to wait a few months in between shots, guys, that could be the issue.

Afaik there's a timeframe somewhere between 4-12 weeks between shots. The longer you wait the better the immunizing effect is supposed to be.

The time is 4 months here. It's automatically scheduled at the same time and place :>
 
I got both doses of the Moderna vaccine. Got my first dose in mid April and my second dose earlier this month. Yesterday was 2 weeks since being fully vaccinated. The only side effects I had with the first one was a very sore arm for a few days. The second one was more mild in my experience. I had on and off flu like symptoms for a day or two, but that was it. I personally felt I had a more hard experience with the first vaccine than the second one.

However I am glad it didn't affect me too horribly, even with my weak immune system.
 
I got the vaccine the instant my workplace got in some doses. It was the J&J vaccine, but I got it before all the complications hit the news. I haven't had any complications from it, nor did any of my coworkers that got it.

The night after I got it, I felt terrible. Had a fever, a headache, soreness, a bad arm, and all I wanted to do was sleep. This wasn't a shock to me. I had COVID, so I knew I was going to have a reaction to the vaccine.

I still wear a mask at work. The customers that come into my store tend towards the nasty.

Now that you've asked this, it makes me wonder if the same sort of issues are happening to me. Though I've experienced depression in the past, I was doing great with my mental health for the past couple of years. This year, I was hit again with it, but it started a few weeks ago. I've had a few problems getting my thoughts organized, a lack of interest in a few things that I used to like, and my sleep habits have been spotty. Feeling more tired than usual.

For me, some of that might be effects from having COVID itself, but the vaccine might have shocked my system again when it thought it was done. I'm trying to get back to a regular feeling, but it gets difficult some days.

I got mine in March before Texas allowed anyone regardless of age and health condition to get a vaccine (I qualified because of my health risk). Both Moderna shots. First shot was worse than the second for some reason, but overall, it was a piece of cake.
 
Well since I confessed my real age, I will say YES! I did get the vaccine....in January. Why so early? Uh, I still don't know to this day. Don't come after me please.

The first shot was ok? Don't remember much about it to be honest. The second shot? UGH! I had serious chills and headaches, and was convinced I was running a low grade fever. I told my staff to check my temperature that day, but it was normal, but I was in bed for a good part of the day.....then I felt better a day or two later.

A lot of the memories are fuzzy of the shot. But hey, i'm vaccinated so that's all that counts.
 
First dose today :D
A few hours later, the only side effect I got was a light pain on my left shoulder, as if I got hit.
 
I got my second shot earlier today and so far it's been the same as the first. Not sure what tomorrow will bring though. I'm just really sore and tired.
 
Update! I got my first dose of the pfizer vaccine last week.
I had a bit of a sore arm for a day or two, and felt super run down for a couple of days but all well and good now. Looking back I'd take the mild side effects over having to deal with covid any day
 
I got the second shot in the arm today. The nurses asked me if I had any side effects after the first vaccine. I told her that I had them all. They were very kind, but honest that I would probably experience all the same stuff again, and recommended different over-the-counter medications to ease my symptoms.

I took the Pfizer about 45 minutes ago. The pain at the injection site this time has come faster. Before my arm started to hurt as the day went on, but this time it felt like someone stuck a knife in my skin just a few minutes after the shot as I was sitting in the waiting room. The pain is starting to radiate from my shoulder all the way down arm. It feels like there's pressure on the arm, as if someone was pressing a brick against it or a weight of some kind. My arm feels heavy and weak, but I have been encouraged to try to move it as much as I can today. When I lift my arm it just wants to flop back down. As I type this my arm is starting to feel stretched and strained, like someone is yanking it by the elbow.

I also feel tired from the vax. I felt that just a couple minutes after being injected as I sat in the chair, though I had a restful night's sleep my mind feels foggy and everything seems like it's moving in slow mo, it's the sluggishness of the vaccine talking, of that I am sure. Let's see what happens next.
