How often do you get sick?

I rarely develop sickness on my own. Prone to catching illness from others. Especially after long trips with crowded places. Still coming off being sick last week.

Had my share of doctor visits. None from serious illness.

Broken bones, panic attacks, needing surgery, all have landed me in the hospital.

I have cancer, so I technically am all the time, but it's easy to get other things alongside it. I have to be really careful.

Before this though, I rarely did.

Getting sick has generally been a rare thing for me. Last time I was sick was October 2022 with a mild case of covid. The worst that I can remember was this one time I got something that was called iirc "acute angry throat", which was like strep throat but worse since I also felt like shit beyond my throat and had to come home from work early, as I had developed a nearly 104 degree F fever.

Typically once a year but it's moreso from the common cold. Think last I got sick was like last April? I do remember I was just not feeling well during school and it was during crunch time of all things.

Not so much for actual sickness but timing wise, the worst was getting sick in 2015 during a fan expo. I refused to stay home because I got tickets already but I wish I did because I just felt awful during it and just wanted to sleep lol.

Almost never because I am terrified of germs and stay away from people.

...Even before Covid, I almost never did. At the moment, I have agoraphobia and haven't gone anywhere where people populate for like...three years.

Even in the moments I wasn't feeling too great, I'd go on with my life since I don't really have a "shut down" button and can function in pretty much any condition, I guess.

Last time I got sick was July 15th of this year. I have no real idea what happened, but my body just violently rejected the idea of feeling great. I was out for two days with a fever, stuffed nose, sore throat, stomach issues... But it wasn't covid! Which I also had, but that wasn't as bad as whatever that was all about.

My worst sickness was probably two years ago, when I had yet another head cold with no explanation during the summer. I had it for weeks and couldn't shake it no matter what I did. I caught it after being stuck outside in the rain, and that year it rained a lot. So I think it was just mold allergies.

Not too often, occasionally I'll feel under the weather for a day or 2 but it usually wears off on it's own. The last time I got sick was on Valentine's Day; but that was my own fault because I ate too much food at the class party one of my teachers hosted and tried going to tennis practice regardless. Long story short I went home early to prevent myself from throwing up but did anyway all over my bed when I tried reaching for my remote; luckily I have water proof sheets so the mattress was OK. The worst sickness I've ever had was on Christmas Eve 2022. I had gone out with my family to a seafood restaurant the previous night and I guess the food was cooked improperly because I felt absolutely horrible the next morning; I threw up multiple times and was pretty much bedridden the whole day.

Despite my compromised immune system, I thankfully don't get sick much these days. Years ago I used to get horrible sinus infections quite frequently, they were misery. Thankfully, those have subsided.

I think the last time I was sick may have been COVID back in January of 2022, but I may be forgetting something in between.

I feel like since the pandemic, I haven't gotten as sick as much (or when I do get sick, not for nearly as long) as I did pre-pandemic. The worst sickness I've had since the pandemic was around Christmas last year. I'm assuming I got covid since one of my sisters tested positive. (idk it just seemed like your average cold to me, maybe a bit worse) We both had to stay in our rooms for probably over a week. Luckily we were both feeling better by Christmas Day and we could celebrate with family.

A few times a year, especially in Autumn. I'm sick right now actually, but nothing serious

Chronic illness/condition stuff aside, I haven't been sick since before covid since now I always mask when I go out, I still avoid crowds, and I just don't leave my house more than necessary.

So I think the last time I was sick was probably like 2018 when I was still attending school. I imagine I probably got a cold or two that year?

Not as often anymore. I used to always get a cold, cough, or something when I worked, went to school, etc.

Yeah, besides the chronic illnesses and all here too! I've had covid 2 times and thankfully never got seriously ill.

I'd say like twice or thrice a year at most. It was less before COVID that's for sure (speaking as someone who went through it twice lol, 'twas not a good era that was)

Honestly only once a year. Usually in February. Very rare that I get sick twice in a year (although it did happen this year lol)

I like to think I have a good immune system, it's not super incredible or anything, but I'll get sick for a week max maybe once a year. I'm also not the most cautious type in terms of risking being sick, but my bf gets sick really easily and heavily. If one of us gets sick, the other definitely will, but I've been trying to avoid getting as sick easily just for him. It kinda just naturally seems to happen yearly for me.
