6th Gen ORAS anniversary

4. Did you do the Pokemon Contest when you first got to Slateport? - I did not. I left it for when I finished the game to even do. I wanted to complete the game first before I even did the contests.

No, sadly. I think that at the time I wasn't too interested in contests. I thought I was having a lot of fun with the main story and kept going forward. I should go back and check out contests some day.
 
3. What did you nickname your starter?

I picked Torchic, and I nicknamed it Mihawk, after the character Dracule Mihawk from One Piece.
He's not a favorite of mine, and Mihawk/Blaziken makes little to no sense, but I just went for it because I thought it'd be a cool nickname.

4. Did you do the Pokemon Contest when you first got to Slateport?

NO. I put off doing a contest for as long as I could. I just suck at them, honestly. I only started doing them when I realized how badly I needed a Destiny Knot xD;;

No, I didn't. I want to eventually but I don't have the time or the motivation to do them right now.

Nope, I don't really bother with contests. Really not my thing.
 
4. I don't think I did right away at Slateport, but I know I did contests in my first (1/2) playthrough way before endgame. I don't quite remember what I did this time, but I have already beaten each contest at least once already (and beaten Lisia).

Yes! I did a few rounds, got the pikachu and entered one of my pokemon in. Eventually I came back and won master rank!

I think I'm in the minority here, but absolutely! One of the biggest things I was looking forward to in ORAS was Pokemon Contests. Participating in them is what's probably going to drag out the game for me.

3. What did you nickname your starter?

My starter was a Treeko

and I named her Sheena. Not sure why, but for some reason naming her after Sheena from Tales of Symphonia seemed to fit haha

4. Did you do the Pokemon Contest when you first got to Slateport?

I did! I really wanted to try out the new updated contests. I really loved them in RSE, so it was something I was really looking forward to in ORAS. I entered Cosplay Pikachu as my contest Pokemon the first time around.

I do the contest after beating the game, but on another city instead Slateport.

Nope. didn't have the money yet.

2. What was your reason for choosing OR or AS over the other?
I pick AS cause have a copy of Sapphire and always just prefered Team Aqua

3. What did you nickname your starter?
Henry the Treeko, named after my first Mystery Dungeon partner

Cool Contest :cool: Always my favorite to do

I entered a few to try them out, with my starter and Cosplay Pikachu but then carried on with the story. I've done them loads of times now and I really enjoy them. I love my favourite Pokemon having that entry animation! I also love the portraits in the museum and the light thing for the Secret Base!

I don't think I did. I don't really remember for sure, but I don't think I did since Gen 4 ruined my impression of contests, and I thought it would end up being a similar concept to Gen 4's version. I know I did in my second playthrough, but since I'm typically reffering to muscle memory of my first Alpha Sapphire playthrough, I more than likely didn't.

I actually just shoved one of my old contest Pokemon to save time increasing my Pokemon's stats hahaha.
 
5. Which bike did you choose when you first got to Mauville?
I think it was the Mach Bike? I don't exactly remember, but it might've been that one since there's that one bit to the north of Mauville that requires the Mach Bike. But I got both now so....
