There are currently 8 Eeeveelutions, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon; with the most recent, Sylveon, being added with the release of X/Y in 2013. Do you think it's time for another Eeveelution, or is the current roster fine as-is?

Personally, I'm against adding more Eeveelutions, I feel like all the "main" types have been covered by now; and I'd rather the dev resources go towards new or less loved Pokemon.

I'm for it personally. Doesn't need to be 'all at once', but considering TPC's made Pokemon like Silvally and Arceus that can literally be any type, why can't the Eevees get similar treatment? :p

A weak "yes". Likes the eeveelutions. Receives some special attention in most of the games already, though. (See: New eeveelutions in Generations 2, 4, and 6, a special Z-crystal in Generation 7, a Gigantamax form in Generation 8, and a starring role in Let's Go.)

Kind of wants a Dragon eeveelution the most, solely because of the old physical/special split. Covers all of the special types except for Dragon. (Ignores Fairy here, due to not existing then. Might as well have been special-based on release. Designed a single physical Fairy move in Generation 6 (Play Rough).) Remembers the old system easier by removing that exception.

Extra prediction: Likely ties a new eeveelution to a new evolution mechanic. Showed off the new Friendship mechanic in Generation 2, new location-based evolutions in Generation 4, and Affection in Generation 6.

The main issue with giving Eevee more evolutions is that they all have the same stats, but swapped around in a way that each has three good stats and three bad ones. And they can't repeat existing combinations so it's difficult to come up with something interesting. If there's another evolution, it should be definitely physical, since we only have Flareon and Leafeon, then Umbreon is just garbage on both offenses, and the remaining five are very Special oriented.

Hot take but they're just dex bloat. To be fair I was never a big fan of their designs and whatnot but there really isn't a point in having so many, they just don't add much to any game. I would rather have 10 new pokemon with interesting designs, concepts and gameplay over the rest of the eeveelutions that are literally the same thing over and over.

I'd be happy to see them but I definitely don't think one for every single type is needed, I think that'd be too many to keep track of. Having them introduced like how Sylveon was, to show off a new type or new aspect of the game like Pokemon Amie is the way they should do it if they decide to make more. I think there's a lot more variety that could be had, I agree that most of them are just special attackers and I enjoy using a more interesting twist on the idea like having a tanky Vaporeon or Umbreon. I think there's still a lot of good ideas that could come from the concept of more eeveelutions.

It'd definitely make Eevee's Z-Move feel dated if they added more, however.

No, since the eeveelutions normally have pretty samey power levels any new eeveelutions woudl either get the title of best eeveelution because they have better stats/movesets/abilities then the old eevees or they will become that gen's worse fully evoed mon because the stats would not be good enough

I'm rather indifferent, it's all just Pokedex filler to me now. I've only ever used Jolteon and Espeon as main party members, and I don't see myself using any new forms that they may or may not introduce in the future.

There are never enough eeveelutions! I really like their designs and while it is true that some of them can be "fillermon" material I do believe it gives a chance for certain types to shine or have more appreciation. Leafeon made grass types more appealing to me and Sylveon got me to try out fairy types. So yes, I am in favor of more eeveelutions.

2. A steel type eeveelution, Alumineon!

Do you mean Empoleon?
Yes, more Eeveelutions are welcome. There are already 1000+ Pokémon; might as well go all the way~
