What's the origin of your usernames?

okay okay okay I know you asked about the origin. It's my favorite Pokemon. And while I have wanted to deviate away from the name, I'm afraid it's gonna get snatched. I don't want to let it go!
 
Well, I for one was inspired by a character in the Reborn fan game. A Pokémon character which is Reborn region's most famous star, Gossip Gardevoir!
She made me want to write Pokédex entries fact-checking shorts, and look for a place to share them. That is how I found and joined PokéCommunity! ^^

Interesting. I thought you were the moderator responsible for moving posts that aren't posted in the correct threads. So the fact checking Gardevoir actually comes from Pokemon reborn fangame? I think I'll check out the fan game. I initially joined for the trading boards here. I wasn't sure I would get any trades, but twilight blade and Alex among foxes helped me out with Pokemon that were sort of difficult to obtain.

I have been moderator for the Meet and Greet and Pokémon Trivia for a while until the beginning of this year.
Indeed, a Gardevoir who makes interviews in Reborn, like I have been doing here on PokéCommunity!
Reborn has top level battles and hairpulling puzzles, but is great! If you do like it, check the TV in the city between each badge. ^^
Also then, I recommend you try another game from the same developpers, Desolation, in which you would find another interesting character once you get in the major city's mansion!
I am happy to hear you found people to trade with!
 
First off, it's a reference to a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game which was at one point my favorite game as a kid, but I also like exploring areas in video games, and I play a lot of old video games because it's really interesting to see how game design evolved over time, so it's kind of also a reference to that, too.

That's really cool, not only is it of your favorite game, it also fits for someone really into game development. I find myself interested in how games are made as well.
 
Mine is a bit of a long story. (and even longer if I wanted to be complete about it) I have a character I use in some of my original stories who I call Alex, and around the time I was looking for an (my first, actually) online chat room to help other people with Pokemon trades, I was also working on a new story that had Alex in it. His character in this story does a lot of online chatting with others, so when I picked the PC as my place to set up and it asked me for a username, my first thought went to that character. I didn't want to just have a name on it's own though, so I made my full username SuperAlex74. (a reference to Super Mario 74, which is either a Vinny thing, or just an internetism in general, I don't remember at this point lol) After I got a Discord and decided I wanted to make it easier for people here to find me on there, I changed it here to better match my Discord name, but decided to keep the 'Alex' part because everyone here started calling me that and I didn't want to make things annoying for them lol. :p

the game series of the same name, although ironically I'm far from it's biggest fan. I think I had recently watched the Legend of Twilight anime & I also liked that it could have a double meaning with the rom hacking as I was playing a lot of hacks and learning some rom hacking at the time.
I've only seen like a handful of the .hack anime (although not roots yet, one of the more popular ones) and yet to actually try out the games myself. So yeah I'm sure the .hack series has many bigger fans than myself, although I do like it. This thread has definitely spurred me a bit, thinking it could be time to finally delve into them!

I guess it was more about the aesthetic and thinking the username looked nice, and I was always happy with that and so never wanted to change it.
 
I came up with this username my freshman year of high school for a Wattpad account (that I don't use anymore), but now I use it on pretty much every single platform. "Rad" as in "radical", old slang for "cool" or "wonderful", and Empoleon, my favorite Pokémon. When possible, I try to format it like this: RadEmpoleon (no spaces or underscores, each word with a capital letter), but not all platforms allow for capital letters in usernames. Otherwise I do rad_empoleon so you can tell they're two separate words.
 
Mine is pretty basic because I joined the forum without any plan or whatsoever. Hence I was needed to thought some username on the spot quickly because it was around 9:30 PM !!




I like Mega Rayquaza. And also Zacian-C. Therefore some combination was needed to be made which utilizes both of them. So there were four names in my mind: Delta Crowned Sword, Delta Behemoth Blade, Warrior Dragon Ascent and Sky High Warrior. I only liked first and the last one. And Sky High Warrior was giving the idea that I am joining the Forum which is not for Pokemon, hence chose the first, the one which is I am presently using.

Coincidentally, I like Delta because it is related to my real name, which also starts from D, due to which I am pretty much content with this.
 
I like to take care of plants a lot, And Lavender is my favorite plant, though Ivy is a close second! (fun fact I was thinking of naming my account Ivy instead lol) But I ultimately decided i'd go with lavender as I love purple and my favorite pokemon's shiny is purple.
 
Good place as any, seeing as I'm new here. Hi! I'm John Masaki. This isn't the first place I use the screen name and pfp, and I've used it for decades now. So, long, long ago in a region far, far away, a young man flew the nest and entered the world of the Internet. He found a thing called Tenchi Muyo and loved the series. So ever since, I've been using John as the most common first name and Masaki to represent my first big fandom.

As for the pfp, well, before the anime stuff, I fell in love pretty much simultaneously with Earthbound and Pokemon and well, Ness is basically Red's prototype, so yeah. Ness and Pikachu is a Trainer and partner pair that's made in heaven for me.
 
I first came up with this username when I needed to create an account for Trackmania Nations Forever; I couldn't think of any clever ideas on the spot, so I decided to combine "Cool" and "Kid" because I was underage and hoped people thought of me as a cool person with my favorite numbers of 5 and 7. I then ported it over to Discord where I dropped one of the 7s (it was originally CoolKid5757) and have stuck with it ever since.

Omg I was kinda hoping this was the case, I love the lavender plant so much

My username origin unfortunately is really, REALLY boring. Same as my previous username of Rabinov - I simply had it come into my head and it sounded neat. Then people said they preferred it over my username at the time and it just kinda stuck!
