    So I have way too many alts and need to play with them more because most of them are Pokémon characters ahaha. But like I literally have too many alts to name off the top of my head. Some are for holding names and some are for casual RP and some are for secret lurking and whatever. So what do you do with your alts? Do you even log into them? Do you have a terrible habit of making alt accounts for whatever you like at the moment?

    I have some. Mainly I've been using one lately to switch between the usernames Doctor and Adventure on my main. So it's sort of an auxiliary account since I can never seem to stick with either name for too long. Currently it's named Doctor, of course.

    Then I also have Pikachu, which I love to sneak into and post around in now and then just because it's so much fun to have that username <3

    I also have the Homestuck Beta kids last names. Some with a dot at the end since the main ones were taken ;; But still, it's cool. They are completely unnecessary though and I could give the names away if someone would really want them.

    Then I have Gavin<3. Me and my pair made this and a matching Rika<3 (iirc) years back just because. Idk. It was cute.

    There's some more... Hmm. I've forgotten. They can honestly stay forgotten.
     
    I've got two:
    • Dracul - I'm a huge fan of the story of Dracula and the Castlevania game series.
    • Ringabel - one of my favorite video game characters from Bravely Default
    I might change to the latter username in the future, but at the same time I feel that my username is too iconic to change. I do go on Ringabel from time to time though when I want to be incognito.
     
    I've definitely got alts, two of them if you want to be specific.

    First of them was this one I made in November 2013 which is pretty much only there to hold my previous name because I still wanted some memory of it. It's this one if you're wondering: https://www.pokecommunity.com/members/440986

    I have a few alt accounts.

    One might be obvious, it's the one that got my old name when I changed names back in 2008, and was originally a name placeholder account. So if you ever see Cowrie around, that's me. :P Although I log into that one mostly just to check things every so often. Doesn't get much use otherwise.

    Then I have a member account that...I'm not going to give the name of right now, since it's also invisible and it's for when I want to either be sneaky about things or if I don't want to be bothered at all.

    And then technically I have another member account but I had actually forgotten about that one until the other week so shhh it doesn't count.
     
    I used to have one named Dwebble but I honestly couldn't tell you what it's called now! I'm pretty sure I gave it one of my old usernames that I wanted to keep in case of swapping back to it, but that's obviously not gone well if I can't remember the name :p As for why I made it, I really can't remember - I think I used it to post some creative writing I'd done and didn't want it to be associated with myself in case it went down badly haha. I haven't logged onto it in months (obviously) since I don't really have much use for it now, but hey, I guess it's nice to have!
     
    A few! Mostly in case I wanted to switch names.

    Nota Musical - I was thinking of switching accounts at some point, but in the end, I wasn't able to break away from my current account.

    Klefki - This was to reserve the name so no one could have my favorite Kalos mon at the time.

    Palamon - So I could keep my name Palamon, and in case at any time, I want to switch.

    Hikaru Aizawa - OS-tan alt that I never ended up using.

    Umbrellix Natobix is another, but I won't talk about it.

    Roleplaying alts is an interesting idea... I might use some of mine for that, actually. Lots less stressful than using my main account.

    Anyway, I don't log into them often. No reason to do so.
     
    I have a few alt accounts myself, mainly for name reservations! Although I created these after I've been a mod in case I ever wanted to browse the forum without seeing the staff/VIP areas.

    Zach, Terabyte, and Doublade are among some of the alts I have here on PC. I also have one super secret alt (;)) and also zl which is just my initials.
     
    1 - Secret Alt; normally used when I want to browse or comment relatively anonymously. Normally not used very often since I rarely need to hide.

    2 - Poketrainer2004; Placeholder for my ORIGINAL username.

    Trouble is; I rarely use alts...I ♥ my 4 digit user id way too much. :3
     
    This has always been my account and I've never had any account besides this. Don't feel like I have much personal use for alternative account tbh.

    Ah yes that incident... my brother once locked me out of my account when he heard I performed badly at work (I was actually doing the job well but I walked out early due to me getting in an argument with a co-worker who hated me). He changed the email address my account was linked up to and I didn't even realize it until I found out I was being denied access. Thankfully I asked a good friend, Charlie Brown on another forum where he contacted the admins and got them to fix my login details.

    My brother pretty much learned his lesson after that, because it just creates a hell of a process to get everything fixed. Still doesn't stop him from being a terror though.
     
    My main alt is Kristoph (back when ex-smod Matthew had Klavier), but I also own Ivysaur as a placeholder.

    ..and then I once made a one-off alt called Kalle Blomkvist for Rika's original promotion to RPC mod several years ago :3
     
    I haven't as of yet seen a reason to need an alt. The only other account that I even have the password to here on PC is my friend's because she came over to my house and stayed the night once back around when I started posting and I talked her into making an account here. I don't even know if she's active, I haven't talked to her in a good while.
     
    I own Nine Inch Nails. It has a short, illustrious history. While using it, I implied that a senior staff member had the brain capacity of a raccoon and later contradicted myself by implying that they had an empty head. I also stated that another senior staff member had 'low neural capacity'. I haven't used it since. It's a waste of a perfectly good name.

    But I don't really see the point of alts aside from reserving usernames tbh.
     
    I actually have two, maybe even three alts, you'll see why...

    First alt was my original account, gunnerpow7. Basically it had all my noob posts from 2011 to 2013.

    Another one is Leijon which actually is just a placeholder from this username that I have right now. I only posted in it once for RP purrposes :3

    And last, I had this joint account named Laughing Gunner with Hannah. Tbh, I'm not even sure if it is mine, but I do faintly recall talking about it with her x3
