Abbott is the creepiest Australian PM ever, and does nothing but constant lying. It's why so many Australians hate him right now, and definitely won't be likely to get re-elected in the 2016 election.

Speaking of Australia, we'll be having our national public holiday next Monday. I don't want it viewed in a negative light again.

You have to remember that Nixon did well enough/was liked enough to be re-elected for a second term, as he actually did quite a few good things as a president despite numerous moral failings.

That being said, Bush was elected for a second term despite being the absolute worst US president of the last 70 years. So... take what you will from that, I guess.
 
Need to be more than that when you're a prime minister though (and clearly some people here don't agree with you =p).

Yeah, but all PMs have lied. =p Idk about creepiest either, there's 100 years of other PMs. And to be fair he at least exercises quite regularly, which is an admirable trait (budgie smugglers aside). Doesn't look that creepy to me, I just dislike how he (and everyone else of late) manages the country. *sigh*
 
I care about politics! Australian politics happen to have the thing i like to yell at people about: appalling "buddy-buddy" treatment of Internet service providers. There's other things I like to yell about, too, but the Internet issue is the easiest to convert people on. Other issues I care about just don't have the same conversion rate.

I can see where you're going here, in fact so many of the recent PMs have been massive liars. As for how Abbott runs the country, I can definitely say he's doing a bad job at it.
 
Not like our votes really matter in the U.S.
Just vote Democrat for everything and move to Canada when it all goes to crap.
 
It really bothers me to see all this Obama bashing from the people with little to no knowledge on how politics work if they never took Political Science before, which should fully explain why it's taking so long for him to bring some of the promises he's made.
 
Word. Obama looks like he got his shit done. A lot has been going good for him and the nation so far.

TIME said Kennedy had a net worth of $1 billion 2010 USD (George Washington only got slapped with $525 million, also with inflation), and made his money allegedly through bootlegging. Somebody really doesn't like Kennedy, and I can't imagine why. I thought most people liked him.

This is actually one of the major flaws with Obama I see. The fact he's so slow at bringing promises.
 
Personally I'm not a fan of Obama. I didn't vote for him, either time, and I don't agree with most of the things he's done. Please though, ya'll if you want to talk politics go on over to D&D. You're killing the mood here. 'Sposed to be relaxing.

So how've you all been? Not been on in a while, be great to catch up with you.
