Sorry about the delay in the poll guys--we were discussing some potential changes to FF, but it is up now! Voting will last a week.

I decided not to include the "chill" forum simply because it is the Treehouse and I did not include the Haunted Mansion suggestion simply because I do not like the idea of people potentially voting for a banned member's suggestion for laughs. There is a similar suggestion in the poll anyways.

Have fun voting!

I voted sports.

Tbh there's only Music or Sports I feel I would contribute to, and General Entertainment seems to be quite music-heavy as it is.

Also 'The Locker Room' is a great name.

Voted for sports, of course.

Now to just sit back and watch all the electoral college votes trickle in.

Gotta be honest and say I'd probably (personally) veto a blog forum. We already have blogs that are utterly dead and useless. Rehashing Member Encyclopedia/blogs and wasting the Frontier on something we've either got/have had seems totally counter-productive to me - especially when the proposed idea accomplishes nothing different from those.

I'd rather see something else get a shot, though I admittedly don't see longevity in many of these (sorry to say). Music and Sports have the most potential as long-lasting areas, which is the point of the Frontier. Some of the others just seem like cute, niche ideas that would better be served as a month-only forum (Old Haunt in October, New Leaf in January, Classroom around finals).

Is member encyclopedia archived or still accessible? Maybe consider re opening it if the support for it comes out strong by December 22nd, and not have it take the place of a new, equally popular idea. I'd personally have fun posting in it now since it's been closed for a while.

Im voting for The Classroom cause I'm a student, but also for the New Leaf and Blog Forums because I (and many others) can take advantage of them.

I wanna see it reopened too and just let all users have at it! This section was so much fun.

Since many seem to regard the old ME in bad light, I hope we can make a completely new forum if the blog/AMA idea comes out on top, rather than re-opening something old that didn't work. Plus, the first words in the poll option are "blog forum", which ME was not. It seems more fair to treat this idea like any other FF idea, and give it a fresh start and a chance for the members to shape the forum, should it win. Rather than "rehashing" something that was closed.

• What type of forum are you nominating? (Pets, Shipping, etc.)

I would like to suggest a forum that works much like the Member Encyclopedia, but rather than focusing on getting to know each member, it's focused on helping each other reach our personal goals/resolutions. Whether that is through advice, or just pure inspiration, or nagging/reminding the person of their goal.

• Include details on the type of threads and content you can picture in this area:

Starting every January 1st every member can make their own thread, give some details about themselves if they wish, and then list any goals they wish to accomplish during that year.

Everyone else's role, as the commentors, is to help the OP accomplish those goals by talking to them, giving advice, giving details about a similar situation they went through, or just plainly asking "How goes _______?" to remind the OP of their goal/resolution. I feel that a lot of new years resolutions and goals that people set get forgotten and never achieved and we all fall into a cycle of wishing we did things but never have.

• If you could choose the forum's name, what would you call it?
New Leaf
Could this New Leaf idea not be made as an event within a forum mainly meant for blogs/AMAs? Yearly or every now and then or regularly more often, rather than dedicating a whole forum slot for it.

/tries to make all majorities happy lol

I like the new leaf idea a lot. I think it would be nice to reach out to members you normally wouldn't talk to and help them out in some way. Kinda seems like a larger addition of the help/advice thread

I have to be honest, it bothers me when people suggest things that we already have. Music is like 95% of General Entertainment and superheroes and sports also both fit there (although the former also works in FF&W to a degree), we already have blogs that function much better than a forum thread blog does that don't get enough attention/love and Pets is an incredibly narrow topic that really should just be contained to like two or three threads in the Mall.

The only forums suggested that don't already have a place on PC are The Classroom and New Leaf (which needs better name ;)) and honestly the former would also be perfectly fine as a single thread in RT, The Lab or TT. Sports would also be feasible on its own I guess even if it does fit in GE.

Not really trying to point fingers or start arguments or anything but this has really been bothering me and I wanted to publicly share my thoughts.

i would honestly support music and sport both as subsections to GE for purposes of organization and allowing the GE main to expand into new territory- maybe sport after it has gained momentum maybe? while it's true that there is a lot for sport that could be talked about, it hasn't really been a proven interest point

but FF is all about NEW forums so that's not really a thing thats here or there i guess

> blog forum removed because too similar to a part of pc that already exists
> sports/music forum not removed because its just a little different from a part of pc that already exists

ok fam

i mean atleast it isnt winning so far, coz if it is i s2g

I voted for the sports one, since I feel GE has been focusing a lot towards music at the moment. But knowing me, The Classroom is the one I think will end up getting the nod.

Superheroes are something that feel better to be discussed in GE anyway.
