    Are you someone who uses many tabs, and how many do you have open right now?

    Here's mine at the moment of writing this thread. A bit of a minimalist when it comes to tabs. No idea why I opened chess.com messages, I never actually receive anything. But it's just been sitting there

    6 tabs for me at the moment. with my PC right now i can easily get to about 10-20 tabs without worry, but i've been so used to the life of having a cheap computer that lags real easily that i've been hesitant to keep that many open.

    i cannot fathom how those folks with like 3 different windows and 70 tabs each operate optimally (my gf is one of these). would it even matter to keep them open if they're just gonna reload anyway when you activate them?
     
    I have about a dozen or so open at any given time. I get through them before I go to sleep... usually. Mostly it ends up being things I want to remind myself to watch or listen to. I also typically have 3+ google docs open for various RPs because I can never find myself focusing on one post unless I have other posts to neglect. One of my doc tabs has been open for well over a month now... but I added to it a couple of times since then so it's ok.

    Right now, I'm sitting at an easy 8. But I'm also on my way to bed, so it's not the norm by any means.
     
    Funny I come across this topic after I had to find a tab session saver for Firefox just so I can restart my laptop to update it without losing my tabs 😭

    I have exactly 20 tabs open (used to be double until I remembered I can remove a whooole bunch of them). I find it really difficult to 'close the book' so to speak on stuff I'm still working on. What am I working on? Well, my emails are permanently open at the moment cause I'm on the lookout for some stuff. I have half a dozen tabs open for things relating to the new PC I'm building, then like a few more for a fanfic I'm writing. At least two for background information on a roleplay I'm in currently, a couple more related to Arknights and the current event. PokeCommunity. Some artists I'd like to commission... Hoping to close the some by the end of this weekend at least! God help me if I start another project though.
     
    i typically have maybe 4 or 5 tabs open in my browser at a time - i don't like having too many, and if i get over 10, i just close everything and start anew.

    Same here, I'm very much a minimalist when it comes to how many things I have open at once and if I ever get too many the whole browser gets a reset.
    My typical browser setup is generally whatsapp/telegram, then usually 3-4 tabs of whatever site it is I'm on at the time be it PC, reddit, twitter, youtube, etc.
     
    I have 5 tabs open in this browser, a separate session for a different twitter account, and another browser open for Swagbucks.

    so, that's 7 tabs total.
    I try to never have more than 10 open at a time because that's too much clutter. x_x

    literally me when i was still in the market to buy and build one lmao. tabs of Tom's Hardware, r/BuildaPC, PCPartPicker, local FB marketplace, local online computer shops, etc. just sprawled about everywhere.
     
    I currently have 12 tabs open, but most of them are cooking recipes I really ought to just bookmark. I usually have 10 to 15 tabs open. I clean the tabs up every now and then when I don't need the article anymore. I don't mind the clutter as in my mind, it is easier than searching for it again. Forgot to mention I'm using a phone so the tabs are less annoying than on desktop.
     
    5 tabs on my computer between Edge and Chrome, and about 15 on my phone. My phone definitely handles them better though haha.

    Thanks to edge sleeping tabs I can save on memory, and that's only on my laptop!

    But I've got a gaming laptop after my last one broke, so that also helps.

    I don't really get slow downs anymore unless
    I'm running a compiler for a rom, while I have several other heavy programs on and edge at the same time.
    I swear that feature has been a game changer for me.

    I've probably got another hundred on my phone.

    Only tabs I actually am using. So, currently 1.

    Whenever tabs start becoming too small for me to read what I'm doing, it's probably because I have plenty of serebii pages up to compare pokémon data or something, and then I often just pull them out into a browser window separate from whatever else I do alltogether. I also always close all tabs when I exit the browser or turn off the computer.

    I'm quite surprised, at least half of you don't have that many tabs open at the same time... (Except Meister_anon lol) Most of my friends never close tabs, so after half an hour they generally end up with twenty to a hundred tabs, which makes me mad, because I don't want to spend thirty seconds navigating through tabs whenever I want something...

    Generally I'll have three to five tabs open among: PokéCommunity / WordReference (English dictionary) / Youtube / Deezer / Gmail. Generally Youtube is in a separate window, on my second monitor.
    Can climb up to fifteen tabs if I'm searching something or trying to solve a problem.
