..Do you see yourself picking it up again? Like for Raids or shinies and anything you didn't complete?

Or did you make it though the main game and now you're ready to move on?

i've kinda been burned out by sw/sh and am more or less ready for dppt remakes to be hyped about playing pokemon again.

it's hard to sum up my feelings for swsh... i was HUGE into shiny hunting at first and i played for hours and hours, but at one point i dropped it for life reasons, and i just didn't pick it back up. i stopped around when CT was a thing (which is kinda unfortunate because i've heard CT is actually really good) and i haven't really found anyone to really do dynamax adventures with or to talk about the game, period. even when i was shiny hunting, it felt nice sharing my shinies among a community that still felt, at the very least, somewhat interested. now it's just... meh? which rubbed off on me a lot, unfortunately.

i know this contradicts the very first sentence of this post but maybe when i get a new tv or something (because i prefer playing docked over handheld) i'll play swsh more and maybe i'll find it more enjoyable on something that isnt my garbage current tv.

I've yet to put it away since Crown Tundra came out. keep finding new things to do I've never done before in pokemon games. Currently doing alot of shiny breeding xD
Did put it away for like a month or so before that.

I haven't touched it in months and don't really have any plans to pick it back up anytime soon. There isn't anything to keep me interested in playing it. Dex completion isn't something I've really bothered with since the DS era, and I was never into shiny hunting. Raids/Dynamax Adventures don't interest me either. With my competitive battling days behind me, I don't have a reason to engage in massive amounts of breeding and team construction and fighting other people like I used to. Already made a couple of teams for the Battle Tower, won a bunch in both singles and doubles, so I'm kinda done with that too. SwSh does have more of a post-game than some of the other main series games (mostly thanks to the DLC), but even that is finite.

I'll probably play it again someday, via a fresh playthrough, but that day is probably a long ways off.

No, honestly I've thought about trading it in. I bought it used anyway just to form my own opinion on it. I've never been a shiny hunter, I didn't purchase the dlc, and I don't enjoy max raid battles.

I have hardly been playing as of late. Pretty much all I do on it is breeding, I have racked up a lot of shinies since the Shiny Charm + Masuda method is OP... I have gotten a lot of shinies in under 30 eggs. I just can't enjoy WiFi battles this generation though. I think Dynamax is a horrible gimmick and it makes battles not fun at all. That and the 20 minute battle timer just make battling the worst, especially since I love using Toxapex. Even if I never play again, I got my moneys worth easily with 250 hours played but I am ready for something new even though I don't think BDSP will be very exciting since they don't look different enough to warrant a purchase.

I got into SwSh like 3-4 months ago and stopped playing after Snap came out. I also stopped playing as much for life/work reasons. I'm sure we we get closer to the Dppt release, I'll start preparing a good team to send over. I could use Pokémon I've never tried before instead of my usual starter+Shinx+Starly team in Gen 4. The DLC provided me with tons of new Pokémon to capture and breed.

I think I stopped playing months ago as well. I *occasionally* pick it up to do a dynamax adventure for a legendary than put it down. It was sad the way the game ended up being really. I feel like there was wasted potential. Maybe i'll do another playthrough in the far future but I don't really know.

Yeah, I tried recently to Nuzlocke it but the gamw has 0 replay value. I was doing the Nuzlocke with my GF because she likes to just watch and chime in on games and I thought this would be fun for her since we could work together and I could just press the buttons.

About 5 hours in though, we both had enough. I didn't realize so much on my first playthrough since I was just happy to be playing Pokemon but the game doesn't let you do ANYTHING for yourself. It is literally, 10 seconds of walking, cut to character 5 feet from you telling you where to go, cutscene, repeat. The more you play the game the more obvious the lack of effort put into it as well... All of the Team Yell grunt look the exact same and animate the same way and it looks awful, some generic backgrounds as well. When you fight Team Yell in the hotel lobby, the battle background is this random fucking white void that is inexcusable.

I stopped playing in January of this year and I'm ngl, I have zero interest in picking it up again in the future as of right now. It certainly doesn't help that online is paid subscription either so the only real reason I would play it is behind a paywall (aka shiny raids) so once my sub ended I just couldn't be bothered to renew it. Also as Figure said, battles feel unfun with the 20 minute timer plus Dynamax being a blahhhh mechanic. It was fun again when I transferred my mons there but otherwise SwSh were mediocre games and DLC was a temporary fun distraction but I felt they were shallow overall and I haven't even finished CT.

I guess the nail of the coffin of playing SwSh again was when I got into FF14, which btw has a free trial up to level 60-

I might pick Sword up again but we will see I guess.

I'm kind of waiting for something interesting to happen with Sw/sh to play more. Right now, I don't really feel like it.

I beat the main story a while ago and ever since did not feel inclined to pick it up again. With SM my interest in postgame content has diminished and SwSh did not give me any vibes that made me change my mind. I'll have to see what the next generation looks like. I can't even say I'm interested in the DP remakes...

I could get back into it, but I'm not seeing it happen for a while. Gotten into other games and distractions now, and not really had the drive to go back to it sadly. Already had two 'returns' to it for the DLC, a third one isn't happening anytime soon. Lack of postgame content compared to older gen titles can do that... and only got so much time in the day too.

I still play the game every day I shiny hunt a lot on it doing DA raids and eggs also trying to work on a team

I don't know, I haven't even completed the main story yet, and I've already stopped playing- or at least, stopped playing as frequently as I used to.

I'll get back into Pokémon when Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl are released, they just look more appealing to me.

Although, to be honest, I played DPPt way back whenever (2009? 2010?), so Sinnoh is a lot more appealing to me than Galar is.
