I have a little sleeve for mine, and it sure proved handy once when something got stuck on said sleeve instead of the passport itself.

the fact that people drive like idiots in the more tourist-heavy parts of my city certainly doesn't help. i'd say that's a large part of my fear, really.

So in terms of getting around, so you just stick to public transportation like buses or the subway?

I go with public transportation. Even with the realization that the buses here are somewhat ass (like some bus routes here are basically almost never on time), I feel much safer in one than driving somewhere in dense traffic where you have to be careful of people changing lanes without using their turn signals, people driving super slowly for no real reason, and it's just... there's just so many things that make me anxious on the road. I don't know how people in big cities really do it.

I'm sure if I lived in a smaller town with a car or something I'd be fine but learning how to drive in a big city is going to take some getting used to.

I don't seem to have issues posting on this other forum thats prone to drama so i shouldn't be afraid to post here time to time xD
