In the opening sequence of The Sopranos, every shot depicts a car traveling from screen right to screen left, except for one. When the editor cuts to a restaurant named "PIZZALAND", the travel direction suddenly shifts from screen left to screen right. This editorial decision, coupled with the lyrics singing "shot gun shot", creates a visceral feeling of unease, and brings attention to guns and the use of force around independent establishments as a key theme of the series.

I swear I forget a password to one of my accounts every day. I have them all saved in my iCloud, but I use Chrome on my computer and don't save passwords to the browser usually.

Today I learned the ancient Romans hated pants. I knew that it was not Roman to wear pants, and that they wore togas, tunics and stolas, adopting clothes similar the ancient Greeks--who also shunned pants. I didn't realize until doing some research today however that wearing pants (or boots) was considered a crime in Rome, and you could lose your estate and be banished from the city over a pair of pants.

Today I learned silly CSS stuff for my flair (how images work, all that) and realized that... no, I still don't enjoy doing that kind of thing, haha.
