What made you smile/happy today?

Thursday Watson had his surgery for what they thought was a mass in his intestines, but when they got in there it was gone, so now they're thinking it was just a foreign object that eventually got dislodged. So they didn't have to do as much as they had thought they would have to do, which is major. We brought him home Friday, and we were having pizza for dinner that night (prior to his digestive troubles, he always loved getting pizza crust to eat when we had pizza). We thought he would still be sedate from the pain medicine and etc., but there he was wanting to come in the dining room and ask for pizza crust (which he didn't get, but he still wanted it).

Today he's spent most of the day sleeping on my his bed, so he seems to be doing great after having the surgery.

My hero. <3 I was feeling overwhelmed today because someone made me feel invalid about my sexuality (I'm bi aroace), and it made me feel wrong etc. So, I listened to a vid of my hero singing a LEGO song... and it made my anxiety better. <3

Due to the nature of my job, I come in contact with over a dozen or so individuals every day and get to spend a lengthy amount of time with each one. To say that each has a vivid and rich life to tell is an understatement.

No person's life is the same. And sometimes they're happy to share it with somebody willing to lend an ear.

And it's lovely. It makes me happy knowing I'm now a part of their story; a part of an intricately woven tapestry that is their life.

I may just be a single string, but hey, I'm there.

It was raining pretty hard after my night class finished, and I was standing outside of the building, waiting for the rain to die down because I left my umbrella in my car. I was literally on the verge of tears since I'd been standing there for almost 10 minutes (I HATE getting rained on), but someone leaving the building happened to have an umbrella and offered to walk me to the parking garage. Thank you, kind sir.

Wednesdays are nice in that I remind myself we're halfway through the week; just another few days to go! I also happen to get paid every other Wednesday, so there's that too.

I'm happy being able to pay my bills the moment my check hits my bank account (albeit money turns out to be like sand falling through my fingers, oof)

Well, I saw a rabbit outside this morning in the heart of winter. I've been seeing this rabbit for years. Usually only in the spring or summer. It always shows up when I open the door and it hops away.

Coincidentally, today is the anniversary of my dad's death. On what is the most glum feeling day of the year for me that rabbit made me pretty happy for a moment.

In my zany imagination, I'd like to think he sent that rabbit to cheer me up.

How happy everyone at my workplace was to see me after I had taken a week off. And how happy they were to know that I'd be back in on Sunday.

Also, taking the week off from work helped me to remember the "key" I needed to unlock the magic in my life again, and I'm so ready to continue that path of happiness.

[PokeCommunity.com] What made you smile/happy today?

I had a really lovely conversation with someone recently where I could help them with some problems they'd been having, and encourage them on the path to find what they want to pursue and what interests them/makes them happy. It felt really nice to know that they're being supported and they're able to go into what they want to do because my words helped them out. I wish the absolute best for them, and I'm proud of them.
