    • Are you the type of person to block people on social media? Please do not use this thread to talk about past dramas/specific people you blocked, it's just a question in general.

    I am the type of person who will silently block people, yes. But only strangers who randomly drop in and retweet me because that's something I despise.

    • I've never blocked anyone before, and I would only do so if they were harassing me. I'm not easily annoyed by others and will give most the benefit of the doubt. But if I was sent something NSFW I'd block without question.

    I never needed to block anyone. Maybe avoiding toxic places helped in that regard?

    On the other hand: it's hard to annoy me, even more so if you want to get on my block list.

    • There aren't many people I block, but there's definitely that line I have that a small amount of people have crossed. So basically, not often, but it's definitely happened. I've definitely been blocked more times than I've blocked people.

    • I've only blocked youtube channels like 5 minute crafts and all the knockoffs of them if they pop in to my recommended videos, because I don't support their content. Haven't had the need to block anything else yet, but I definitely would if it was harassment or nsfw.

    • very rarely. don't remember the last time i've actually outright blocked someone on social media, but that's because i'm not on social media much to begin with aside from like, twitter and this forum lol

    • I don't block others lightly, but I have used the feature before like when I am being sent advertisement spam, scams, pornography I block that address. I have also blocked people on social media websites for cyberbullying and stalking me. This doesn't fortunately happen too often, but it does happen.

    • block is your friend in fandom twitter lol i block anyone that posts content for ships that are gross to me. i mute the tags for those ships or even just ships i don't like and don't wanna see. you have to cater your online experience the best you can, you know. and i block anyone that comes at me with baseless shit, which is rare now compared to early days of twitter which is odd, considering i'm more active now than early days but i guess that's just an algorithm thing? anyway, always block and move on.

    I mostly block inconsiderate people. It can be relatives that see you as as their personal employee, it can be people that refuse to tag NSFW content so I can blacklist it when necessary.

    It can be people that don't get the hint that I don't wanna talk to them or continue a conversation. It can be people that just spout *phobic / *ist things without any remorse or humor.

    I don't reach out to the block button as my first instinct, but it's definitely an important tool to have nowadays. Remember that your mental health is more important than "being fair" and that seeing both sides of an issue only matters when the other party is arguing in good faith.

    I've only blocked one or two people that I can remember. Its more of a block stupid things like the 5 Minute Craft crap that seems to pop up on my Facebook all the damn time.
