Cute vs. cool

The series has a lot of Pokémon designs now, with many more releasing every generation. We all have our favorites that we've come to love over the years - and a lot of the time, there's a clear pattern in what kind of Pokémon you tend to like.

When looking at your favorities, do you tend to like cute or cool Pokémon more?

I like both, but I tend to have more favorites that are cute.

I could also say both, but if I had to pick one or the other, it sways a little more to the 'cool' side for me.

A lot of the time I'll really enjoy the cute designs. I love things like Skitty or Shinx and typically like the first stage of the starters where they're more cute rather than their cooler final evolutions. But my favourites have always been ones I think are the coolest. Banette is creepy, Mawile can be really menacing, and Iron Valiant is incredibly cool.
I think coolness does win out in the end.

Lands on the Cool side of things. Is not affected that much by cuteness in general (...probably).

I tend to prefer cute, cool-yet-cute, pretty, and even some "weird" Pokémon over straight-up cool ones.

Cool. It can be subjective in certain cases, but I'd say it's hard to find something among my favorites that can be considered cute.

I tend to prefer the 'cool' designs; but both are essential for any well-balanced dex.

Definitely a mix of both.

But when picking an avatar on here, cute pokemon are more simplistic in design, and hence much easier to make a flair around.

Cool, I suppose, but both descriptions are so black and white to me, I sorta dislike them. The cuteness factor can fall into bland terroritory like the simplicitiy of certain Grass Types, but each to their own.

Always prefer "cool" Pokemon designs.

I'd say my favorites list leans more Cute than Cool. There are some that are cool, but I definitely have more of an affinity for Cute Pokemon.

Probably cute. My list of Favorite Pokemon is here. There are a lot of Cool 'mons up there too, but it's dominated mostly by cuter pokemon.

As a kid, I liked the 'cool' Pokemon designs like Giratina, but as an adult, I am drawn to adorable designs like 'Fidough.'

I think I'm the opposite of Pokemon user - as a kid I was obsessed with the cute Pokemon, especially the ones that were cute but extremely powerful. As I got older, I started to appreciate the cooler designs and the lore behind a lot of the cool designs.
