I have found two more wormhole shinys. A female Green Crustle and a second female Shiny Nuzleaf. I normally don't like getting duplicate Shinys but Nuzleaf is a great Shiny and it has a Jolly nature too.
I need to get the Shiny charm in US so I can hunt for Shiny female Frillish and soft reset for Shiny Ultra Beasts
Since aerodactyl I've gotten 3 more shiny Throh and finally a shiny Breloom at 303 fs encounters.
I also got my 3rd random encounter full odds shiny. I was on Route 22 and was mainly going for Azurill but insread got Psyduck at 2,753 encounters. I've previously found 2 dexnaving and 1 horde hunting.
I also got a Krabby in fs in 675 and horde hunted Gulpin at 315. Previously got 3 shiny Scraggys. Will evolve both.
I was breeding an Abra for a LC tourney I'm entering in Ultra Sun with the shiny charm and managed in something like 40 eggs to get a shiny one, which I've evolved into a Alakazam mainly cause I want to hyper train it.
Back after years of inactivity~ Let's see how long I last this time :x
Just today I found two shinies. I found a Shiny Nihilego after 13,392 soft resets and later in the day while EV training I found a Shiny Oricorio after just 30 SOS calls! I do have the shiny charm, I have never seen a hunt go so long in Gen 6/7 with the shiny charm but at least the universe repayed me in a way. Still a little salty about it..:I
Here is a total list of all my shinies, not including trades or events in order of acquisition with methods and original games.
1. Exploud - Emerald - Random Encounter, not hunted
2. Crobat - Soul Silver - Random Encounter, not hunted

5. Musharna - Black - Masuda
6. Bibarel - Platinum - Random Encounter, hunted
7. Darmanitan [Zen Mode] - Masuda
8. Shuckle - Soul Silver - Soft Reset [I think?], hunted
9. Staraptor - Platinum - Random Encounter, hunted
10. Golbat - Platinum - Random Encounter, not hunted
11. Illumise - Pokemon X - Horde, hunted
12. Spiritomb - Pokemon X - Friend Safari, hunted
13. Ditto - Pokemon X - Friend Safari, hunted
14. Sceptile - Pokemon X - Masuda
15. Ambipom - Pokemon X - Friend Safari, hunted
16. Spinda - Pokemon Omega Ruby - Horde, hunted
17. Ampharos - Pokemon X - Random Encounter, not hunted
18. Banette - Pokemon Omega Ruby - Horde, hunted
19. Omastar - Pokemon Omega Ruby - Masuda, not hunted bred from a single egg while trying to complete living dex
20. Reshiram - Pokemon Omega Ruby - Soft Reset, don't remember number but it was less than 500 IIRC. Shiny Charm
21. Tsareena - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted
22. Munchlax - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Shiny Charm
23. Ariados - Pokemon Sun - Random Encounter right after getting Pokedex, not hunted
24. Gumshoos - Pokemon Moon - Random Encounter, not hunted. Shiny Charm
25. Pichu - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Shiny Charm
26. Alolan Rattata - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Reclaim for a shiny Rattata I once found in a ROM hack. Shiny Charm.
27. Sylveon - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Reclaim for a shiny Eevee I once found in a lost Soul Silver save. Shiny Charm.
28. Tentacool - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Reclaim for a shiny Tentacool I once found in a lost Soul Silver save. Shiny Charm.
29. Butterfree - Pokemon Moon - SOS, hunted. Shiny Charm.
30. Rimbombee - Pokemon Ultra Sun - SOS, not hunted. Shiny Charm. Found while EV training on 12th call.
31. Groudon - Pokemon Ultra Sun - Soft Reset. Shiny Charm. Found in around 400 soft resets.
32. Dialga - Pokemon Ultra Sun - Soft Reset. Shiny Charm. Found in just over 4,000 soft resets.
33. Nihilego - Pokemon Ultra Sun - Soft Reset. Shiny Charm. Found in 13,392 soft resets (how.)
34. Oricorio - Pokemon Ultra Sun - SOS, not hunted. Shiny Charm. Found in 30 SOS calls while EV training.
Then I have 6 Wormhole shinies which I don't include with my other shinies since they are so easily obtained; Swanna, Quagsire, Sigilyph, Marcargo, Grumpig, Abomasnow
I went into a rock friend safari and got my 5th shiny Nosepass in 315, then my 4th shiny Magcargo in 836. Finally I got the one I was looking for, Shuckle. In 739 encounters.
Shuckle is my 330th different shiny, I have 115 duplicate shinies and 7 shinies I got from gts, mystery gift or trades. I mostly am collecting gens 1-3 shinies.
(Reason for editing: I'm posting this while editing it because for some reason this website logs me out while I'm typing, usually a minute after I log in and then erases everything I just wrote. Had to type this post twice.)
Caught my first shiny in Pokemon Moon! It was a Gumshoos at the very last patch of grass on the Poni Guantlet. She has Stakeout and Naive nature. I haven't bothered to transfer my bank Pokemon to the game, yet, but my 3DS has been on for several hours... so I'm guessing this is full odds or games still have the possibility of increased shiny find the longer you leave the game on,
I've SOS chained a Shiny Inkay at around 250 encounters, then I went for Noibat. After more than 500 encounter, I got annoyed because of how tedious Supersonic is, so I gave up. I'll come back more prepared next time.
I'm currently random encounter, full odds shiny hunting for Shinx and Pachirisu in Pokemon Diamond. My shiny luck is funny- It's not hard for me to find shinies, but they're never the ones I want. Lol. In HGSS I got my shiny Cyndaquil in 1100 soft resets (when I would have preferred Chikorita or Totodile), and during my random encounter shiny hunting when I was looking for shiny Mareep/Hoppip/Wooper I encountered a shiny Bellsprout (that I critted ;-;) and a Rattata. It's nuts.
I'm fine with either Shinx or Pachirisu so I'll move on when I catch one. However, knowing my luck I might catch a shiny Shellos or Floatzel in that same area. Lol
After 3 failed attempts at Noibat and more than 800 SOS calls in total, I got my Shiny little bat <3
I got a Ultra Wormhole Shiny Audino as well, I don't really like the wormholes shinies but it's a quick Shiny Hunt for when I have a loose 30 minutes
Greetings, fellow hunters! Looks like the Curse of the Owner finally got to me - it's been, gosh, over 4 months since my last post! {D:} I've still been checking in on the regular to see how everything's going, but I've been super busy this semester and haven't had much time to hunt! But I have a couple weeks free coming up for Christmas break, and I'll for sure get some good hunting in then! I've had a really fun run of double-digit (woot woot!!) shinies each of the last three years, so I'm going to try to improve upon my 3 shinies of 2017, "lol!" :pink_laugh:
If you guys ever want any more competitions, group hunts, or any other club activity you can think of, feel free to let me know or post your thoughts in the club and I'll be more than happy to organize something! :)
Absolutely - huge congrats on finding a shiny in commemoration of the G.O.A.T.!! This vaults you onto the leaderboard for club hunts!!
(The image isn't visible anymore, but he got a shiny Skiddo in honor of Tom Brady, the greatest quarterback of all time! )
For the rest of you audacious hunters: if anyone's dreaming of the glory and honor that would be bestowed upon you by surpassing UberRoimel on the Club Leaderboard and getting your name onto the first post, let it be known!! If there's interest in more challenges like this, we'll def set up some more and spark some friendly competition. :pink_wink:
I got her current name from Lepidodendron, an ancient (and massive) tree-like plant possessing a bark texture reminiscent of reptilian scales, but I don't think I like it. (I caught her in a Heavy Ball to reference fossils of these plants.)
EDIT: Changed her name to Belfry (as in bell tower) since Shiny Exeggcute sort of looks like jingle bells and A-Exeggutor like a tower. Much happier with this name!
I know you posted this months ago, but I'm replying around Christmastime, so I'm going to offer an appropriate response given my temporal reality:
OMG DUDE THAT'S SO COOL!! "lol" what a perfect name, hahahaha!!! I love creative nicknames like this, and I've been striving to name my last few shinies like this too, "lol." That's a beautiful name, and the jingle bell connection is perfect for this time of the year!!!
Also, Lepidodendron might just be the coolest word ever posted in this thread. Of all 23,721 posts in the SHC, that's just got to be the coolest reference. I had to look that up - I had no idea that dinosaur trees existed!! {XD} My world just got so much cooler by reading that, haha.
Not caught any new Shinys since my last post but Tiamat the Shiny Salamence and Lucian the Shiny Lucario got the Super Battle Ribbon for winning 50 straight doubles battles. With help from the event Shiny Tapu Koko and a regular Garchomp.
Both Salamence and Lucario were caught in SOS battles in their unevolved forms. :)
"lol" stories like this are fantastic! It's wonderful to hear that our shinies are being put to great use and appreciated in all their glory.
Also, I can totally see a TV show about a Garchomp who finally finds a team to enter a competition with, but he shows up to the arena and is shocked to find that there's something peculiar about his new teammates - they're all shiny!! :littleo: Can our protagonist prove his worth and impress his mythically-revered new friends? Will his hard work pay off with a last-minute Draco Meteor to save the day and show the crowd that this Garchomp can "shine" too? Find out next time on...
I finished my Shiny-only run in X, with a final Shiny team of Delphox, Venusaur, Mawile, Flygon, Lapras and Probopass. I started a new ORAS game for the same purpose, and got a Shiny Treecko.
I found a Shiny Trubbish yesterday in X too....I feel bad for it lol
That sounds like such a boss team, haha! I would absolutely love to go through a game with a team that dope in regular form...but you did it with all shinies!?? That's incredible!! That has to be the squad to beat for "coolest in-game team ever" award. {XD}
After not getting a pokemon for the entire SM Games and even longer before in ORAS, I finally got another Shiny pokemon!!
I was getting ready to challenge Hala in Ultra Sun and I was walking through Route 2. I decided to curve around to the player's house to heal up and BOOM! I get a Shiny Pikipek! My first ever shiny from Alola and my first Alola Shiny pokemon!!
Not only that, it was my first encounter with a Pikipek as well in US.
I like the "scatters things often" text. I imagine it not being able to control the magnets and sends silverware and such flying and causes trouble for your trainer :)
I'm still trying for that male Burmy (over 22,000 encounters so far), but I saw a video that made me curious about something.
There's a glitch in DPPt/HGSS that can drastically increase your Shiny odds if you use Cute Charm with the right gender and Secret ID. I've clearly not got the right ID for this trick to work (nor do I want it), but I was wondering if it's possible to have a Secret ID that, when paired with Cute Charm or not, might lock you out of getting a Shiny Pokémon of a specific gender. It could just be coincidence, but every Shiny I've found so far in my current HGSS files have been female (apart from genderless Magnemite).
I hope this makes sense. I just don't want to keep at it on these games if it's in vain.
Also, does closing the DS reset the RNG in DPPt/HGSS?
Best of luck on your male Burmy hunt - you're getting closer with each encounter!! At least, I think you are...
These are really cool questions you posed, so I'll put my (pretty inconclusive and totally unhelpful, but hopefully kinda cool!) explanation that I was able to gather in this spoiler tag, "lol."
Spoiler:
We had a big discussion about this a while back, but I don't think I ever really understood it for sure, haha. There was a member here who did tons of great research on it, so I pulled up some posts from his explanations on the topic, and this one seems like the most direct response to what you're wondering about:
@ Phantomwolf SRing on Emerald doesn't work =/ My Hunts:
Viridian Forest - 1300 REs
Dialga - 1300 SRs
Combee - 258 HBs
I decide to try to get a shiny female combee on HG by headbutting those special trees north of cerulean city. They have 65% Combee and 35% Slakoth. I'm using a male clefairy with cute charm to get more female combees.
DON'T DO IT! Cute charm makes it so that cute charm is nuked on shinies! The mechanics of the game between cute charm and shinies are sort of incompatible, so with a cute charmer for females, you'll never(? if not rarely) find a female shiny. You can still find shinies, and females, but not female shinies. ;P
alolan vulpix seems to be the most authoritative source on the subject, but there was a pretty big debate about it, and I don't think we ever really figured out exactly what was going on. (I didn't, at least! "lol") Based on this post, though, you might be better off dropping the Cute Charmer from your team and trying for Burmy under the regular odds of getting a male, but I'm hesitant to recommend that too strongly because I don't really know for sure, and I don't want to make you hunt with the really low male odds if Cute Charm doesn't actually reduce the chances of getting a male shiny. Here's the rest of the discussion in case you're interested in learning more about it - maybe you'll understand more of what they were saying than I could, haha!
I don't remember much about it, but I read somewhere that because of the RNG, the odds of cute charm coincide somewhere with the odds of a shiny, and thus cute charm is pretty much reversed. I do believe it was something official I read it from, but you know. Sorry for the horrible explanation xD
Now we've had this discussion now but I think this is pretty much proof - in Gen IV, cute charm causes the shiny odds to accidentally change. This could be as low as 1/32 (!!!) BUT more likely you get much lower odds than usual...
The cute charm thing is legit but it would be ridiculously hard, as you have to find a game with a rare SID, and to even find your SID you need a random shiny/4 chained shinies. And, no, 4th gen only D:
The video from that middle post has since been removed, but I remember looking into it at the time and having absolutely no idea what was going on, "lol." Later on, an SHC member who had no clue what he was doing looked around for some more information on it, and while he didn't seem to understand the mathematical frameworks behind it, it looks like he gathered some conclusions from reading various simplifications that other people had written to try to explain the implications of whatever's going on behind the scenes. Here's what he came away from all that with:
This is really interesting. I hadn't heard anything about this before you posted this, so I looked it up and read some threads where other people debated it. It's always fun to read new stuff about shiny chances - thanks for posting about it, Arceus!
It appears that Cute Charm might have an effect on shininess, but only if your lead Pokemon has it. It's sort of like how having your lead have Synchronize can influence the nature of the Pokemon you find, but a wild Pokemon having Synchronize won't do anything to influence the already-set natures of your party's Pokemon.
Then again, the stuff I read on Cute Charm was mostly from thisthread which is in the context of RNGing, so Cute Charm might work differently there than it does in normal settings. This post seems to say that if your hidden ID has a certain connection to your Trainer ID, then Cute Charm would improve your chances. But since we have absolutely no idea what our hidden IDs are, this shouldn't be relevant. The only possible implication is that if our two IDs don't have a certain relation, then finding shinies would be harder, but if our IDs do have the necessary relation, then finding shinies would be easier. Again, I think this has to do with having the lead Pokemon in your party have Cute Charm, but it doesn't sound like wild Pokemon with Cute Charm would have their probabilities changed.
So it seems like:
1) having a Cute Charm Pokemon as your lead may affect shiny chances in 4th gen, and
2) it will either raise or lower your chances of finding a shiny based upon some difference between your Trainer ID and your hidden ID. Therefore,
3) because we don't know what our hidden IDs are, much less how they relate to our Trainer IDs, this doesn't really change things. However, having a Cute Charm Pokemon might increase some of the risk of shiny hunting, as you might have a higher chance of finding shinies and you might have a much lower chance of finding shinies.
(OMG that was me!!! "lol" I don't remember this at all, so I was really surprised when I went through the posts from this discussion and found that I was the one who wrote this, hahahahahahaha!!!)
But to get back to your original question, it looks I ended up not finding anything to suggest that Cute Charm would prevent you from getting shinies of certain genders, although it could potentially change the odds - for better or for worse.
Quite a few SHC members have gotten shinies of their desired gender through using Cute Charm, including Dark Steelix's Snorunt, ShadowChaos's Snorunt, and ShadowChaos's Eevee. It's also not guaranteed to give you the opposite gender of your lead Pokémon, since ShadowChaos also ended up getting a male Snorunt despite using the same Cute Charm lead. These all were from chaining, though, so it's possible that alolan vulpix's hypothesis (OMG he would be be so pumped to hear that we named a hypothesis after him!!!) could still hold in general, but chaining alters the Cute Charm mechanics in some way that allows for shinies of the preferred gender in certain cases. I really don't know.
One of the most successful shiny hunters ever also contributed some interesting insight regarding Cute Charm mechanics in the sixth generation, so I'd take a look at what he had to say as well:
It makes Pokémon of the opposite gender to the Pokémon with it appear more in wild encounters, in the case of Combee sometimes I'd have 5 female Combee's appear in a row. Without it you usually only get 1 female Combee for every 6 or 7 males. It's definitely good for starters or Eevee's which don't have equal gender encounter ratios.
Of course I believe 1 shiny is set randomly as soon as you walk into a friend safari so if the shiny is the male, with cute charm you may be forcing the shiny to not appear. It's not going to change the shiny to female. Of course if the shiny is female then you're cutting out 5 or 6 male encounters.
In a Friend Safari with 1 gender only Pokémon like Volbeat it would make them appear less. Not 100%, maybe like 75% less.
As for your other question, I've never heard about that before. I can't imagine why it would, though.
The most commonly-mentioned variables in RNG generation that I've seen have been time, steps taken, and something related to your last save. In Emerald and post-battery-death R/S, time since you turned on the game is the only factor, but I'm pretty sure that all the other games use a complicated function that includes a whole bunch of things, so changing (or failing to change) any one thing shouldn't have a big effect on RNG stuff.
I've read recommendations to save after every 25-35 SRs in FR/LG when going after stationary Pokémon like legendaries/Eevee since real time isn't a factor, giving you a limited pool of potential Pokémon when you SR since all of the variables are statically based off of the conditions of your last save. Walking a couple of steps and resaving solves the issue and there's no problem at all with encountering on routes and stuff, so it seems to me like all the focus on FR/LG resaving was due to the unique propensity of those two games to draw RNG results exclusively from data that doesn't change while your character stands still. This seems to imply to me that all other games have real time as one of the variables used in RNG decisions, especially since the person who warned me about the resaving issue in FR/LG hunted (really successfully, too!) for lots of stationary legendaries in D/P/Pt/HG/SS and never did the resaving thing for those games.
This makes me think that GenIV and onward use things like time of day (probably down to fractions of seconds) in their RNG draws, so whether closing the DS has any effect or not really shouldn't matter because the RNG is getting reset dozens of times per second anyway.
To use a totally wrong and misleading way of talking about this (but it's how I think about it because I don't really have any idea what's actually going on, "lol"), imagine that a random number is picked and if that number is 8192, you get a shiny! The number picked for your last Pokémon was 5, and now you're going for your next SR. If you don't close the DS, the only thing changing for your next encounter is time, which changes your number by, for example, 1. So your next SR is going to yield a Pokémon with "6" instead of 5 as the number to determine whether it'll be shiny. But if closing the DS has an effect, that means two things change (let's say closing the DS increases the next number by an additional 2), and so your next SR will produce a Pokémon with 8 instead of the 6 you would've gotten if you hadn't closed the DS. Your only real goal in RNG shuffling is to get a number that's different than 5, and both the DS-closing and non-DS-closing possibilities will achieve this with equal success. You don't know whether there's a shiny on 6 and you don't know whether there's a shiny on 8, so both outcomes are equally desirable. The only thing you know is that 5 doesn't have a shiny associated with it, so as long as you shuffle the RNG enough to give you any number other than 5 (more precisely, you want it to give you 5 with the same probability as any other number, but since there are so many possibilities between 1 and 8192, any shuffling to eliminate a potential bias of repeating the same 5 essentially gets you back to randomness), you should be good!
That whole logic is totally flawed and that's not how it works at all ("lol"), but I try to think about it that way because it helps me understand the outcomes better. In FR/LG, that additional change of closing the DS would be crucial because without it, you'd just keep seeing the "5" Pokémon over and over again, but in GenIV and up, the time variable is already constantly reshuffling the Pokémon you'll see, so any additional variation you introduce to the RNG isn't really helpful or noticeable because you're already going to be seeing unique Pokémon all the time that each have an equal chance of being shiny.
tl;dr I have no idea whether closing the DS resets the RNG or not, but I don't think it really matters since you already have a perfectly shuffled RNG and resetting it again won't improve (or hurt) your odds, since they're already pretty much perfectly random. :)
Shuckle is my 330th different shiny, I have 115 duplicate shinies and 7 shinies I got from gts, mystery gift or trades. I mostly am collecting gens 1-3 shinies.
Back after years of inactivity~ Let's see how long I last this time :x
Just today I found two shinies. I found a Shiny Nihilego after 13,392 soft resets and later in the day while EV training I found a Shiny Oricorio after just 30 SOS calls! Caught my first shiny in Pokemon Moon! It was a Gumshoos at the very last patch of grass on the Poni Guantlet. She has Stakeout and Naive nature. I haven't bothered to transfer my bank Pokemon to the game, yet, but my 3DS has been on for several hours... so I'm guessing this is full odds or games still have the possibility of increased shiny find the longer you leave the game on,
Glad to see you back, Superstrength!! Congrats on the shiny Gumshoos! I wonder if it wears shoes that are bright neon pink (like sparkling bubblegum-colored shoes) or if it has shiny regular shoes, but it stepped in gum... :deepthink:
I don't think that leaving the games on for a long period of time does anything to the shiny chances. You might've gotten that idea from me, so sorry if I misled you! I just left my game on because in Emerald, it makes the chances random again at 1/8192 (while the shinies would appear at fixed points based on how long your game's been on otherwise), but for other games, the rates should be the same regardless of how long the game (/DS) has been on for. So it looks like you got yourself a full-odds shiny Gumshoos there! :pink_nod:
We generally just talk about the main games here, but feel free to post about any shinies you find in other official games like XD, Colosseum, Rumble..."lol" I haven't found any shinies in games outside of the GBA/DS ones, so I don't know which other ones you can find shinies in, "lol!"
Lol
Welcome to PC's Greatest Club, noa!! I've always thought that route with the windmill (and similar Pokémon to what you're hunting) was really cool and wanted to shiny hunt there...I did get my shiny Drifloon right beside it, though! Pachirisu's one of the coolest Sinnoh Pokémon and was always a key member of my teams, so I'm going to give you extra luck on getting that one!! How about we take all of the luck out of your chances of getting a shiny Shellos and give it to icycatelf (so he can finally get that Burmy he's been after since before the last time I posted - that's a really long time! ) and we'll give the luck that would've gotten you a shiny Floatzel and send it over to Lucanite, so that Ditto can have a friend in his shiny collection! This way, everyone wins! :pink_tongue:
And "lol" Cyndaquil is my absolute favorite Pokémon of all time, but I keep getting shiny Chikorita and Totodile during my starter hunts, haha! {XD}
Congrats on all the other new shinies and a big welcome to all the other shiny hunters who've taken up the noble hunt these past few months! May the shinies continue to come your way!!
(OMG and btw the usernames are tremendously terrific!!! Now we all shine in polychromatic iridescence! :pink_laugh: )
I went back to my Lickitung hunt after learning the Repel Trick and scored a lemony lizard! :D
Lickitung's always been one of my favorites, so I'll be adding him to my main team for sure (w/ Eviolite). I remember getting a card of it at Burger King back in the day and thought it was the coolest thing. Now that I think about it, though I don't think I ever confessed it, Lickitung might've been my original favorite.
I just recently noticed that Lickitung's base SpAtk is higher than its physical Atk, so I plan to teach him my favorite attack: Ice Beam! I was thinking Shadow Ball (my second-favorite attack), Rest, and Sleep Talk for the other slots, but maybe I should give him Flamethrower for Steel coverage...
EDIT: Changed his name to Meric (short for turmeric, a yellow spice, but pronounced like Marik).
Thanks! Lepidodendron is very fun to say (maybe even more fun than Regigigas). I was a bit disappointed to learn that the "Lepidodendron" trunk fossil I found was actually a Diaphorodendron (if only because it wasn't as fun to say).
Spoiler:
Thanks so much for the in-depth response! I'll definitely avoid Cute Charm for the remainder of the hunt, though I might have to take a short break before continuing the hunt because I've seemed to develop gamer's neck. Dx
Not sure what the odds are but I had a Wormhole Shiny Bonanza yesterday:
Shiny Brave Female Medicham (Sabrina) - Really like the blue here. I already have a Shiny Lopunny as my fighting type Mega and Shiny female Gardevoir for my Psychic Mega (Shiny Mega Gardevoir is my favourite Shiny, I really like the Black Dress). Still nice Shiny to have.
Shiny Female Magcargo - The Magenta works better than it should.
Then I got FOUR Shinys in successive wormholes Here's a rundown of them and my reaction:
Shiny Female Sassy Crustle - 'That's a Shiny.' My second Shiny Crustle.
Shiny Female Docile Abomasnow - 'Just what I was looking for, two in a row.' The blue is nice here and it's always nice to get a Grass Shiny.
Shiny Male Crustle - 'Another one. Three on the spin'
Shiny Female Modest Swellow - 'Shiny Swellow...Four in a row.'
The run was stopped by a Normal Stunfisk (Of course) in a Blue wormhole.
Just before heading to bed I did a bit of wormhole running and found a Shiny Yellow Grumpig - Never used the line but the yellow is a nice Shiny.
I haven't gotten to the end of of an Ultra cartridge yet, but I'm thinking having a neutral nature Synchronize ability Pokemon might be a good lead for when the time comes.
I haven't posted in awhile so new shinies I've gotten
Baltoy in 107 Dexnavs on the 11th
Bergmite #4 in 944 friend safari encounters on the 14th
Diggersby #4 in 442 friend safari encounters on the 16th
Aron #3 in 1,127 hordes on the 16th, evolved to Aggron
Masquerain in 248 dexnavs on the 18th
Snorunt in 664 friend safari encounters on the 19th
Wartortle #2 in 263 friend safari encounters on the 19th, evolved to Blastoise
I've continued full odds hunting and yesterday I got shiny Nosepass #7 in a horde at 1,657 random encounters. It was the 149th horde.
Then today I found a shiny Golett in 1,812 random encounters. I continued after the Nosepass. I was going for Houndour so will return in the future.
My full list of full odds and/or random encounter shinies is now Pawniard, Druddigon, Volbeat, Caterpie, Tauros, Aerodactyl, Psyduck and Golett. Then 2 random encounter horde shinies with Geodude and Nosepass
On the 24th I found my 11th shiny Nidoran male in 788 hordes.
Today i found another full odds random encounter shiny in Santalune Forest. It was a Panpour at 1,276 encounters. Of the monkeys it was the one I liked the shiny most of however I will be back to see if I can get the Weedle.
First time poster, but I was waiting for this occasion to do so! After over a month of MM breeding and over 1600+ eggs, I've finally acquired my shiny Gligar, equipped with 5 perfect IVs and her hidden ability! She was indeed a Christmas miracle :)
I also found a shiny Blissey earlier while SOS chaining to train my team, plus a second shiny Heliolisk from the Ultra Wormholes!
I'm not sure what my next target is as of yet, but I'm considering a random encounter hunt or breeding for a shiny Eevee :)
