two questions

day-ta, praw-cess

I couldn't tell you what my accent is. General midwestyness?

Day-ta. Anything else is heresy.

I generally bounce between pro-cessor and praw(h)-cessor. Depends on how bad I've picked up a British/Canadian accent that day.

I do believe it is a long A for the first and a short O for the second. If that helps any.

Not American so dah-ta and pro-cess, I have heard it said the other way but only when I was in the states. :D

Dahta and Process. I guess because I'm British?

Unless we're talking about Lieutenant Commander Data from Star Trek. Then it's Day-ta. But that's like how you say Dragonball Zee and not Dragonball Zed. Names don't count.

dah-ta
pro-cess or praw-cess, whichever leaves my mouth really

I'm Scottish.

Day-Ta
Process.

I live in South East England and have never heard anybody say dah-ta, so I don't know where you other British PCers are from but your accents are a bamboozle.

I use both pronunciations with process. The verb is always praw-cess, but for the noun I don't know that I have a rule, just whatever sounds best to me in the flow of the sentence.

I usually say dah-ta but I'm pretty sure I've also used day-ta on occasion, too.

Apparently I just can't stick to pronunciations?
