I recall seeing a similar thread a couple times, and it was quite nice.

What are two things you like or even love about yourself? There's no criteria. It could be something to do with your personality, or a physical trait.

I love wholesome threads like this...

I can't say I'm feeling the best about myself right now, but I've really learned how to keep myself positive and keep my thoughts in better places recently and it's something I feel really proud of.
The other is probably how passionate I get when something really interests me or I get really excited, and even though I'm not good at talking to people, sometimes it can completely eliminate that thought of mine and I'm just too interested in talking about something I like to worry about how the other person or people see me. It helps.

Thanks for the wholesomeness my guys. I need something like this every now and then.

    1) I immediately know if I'm passionate about something because I will dive straight into it. It's how I realized I really love computers, guitars, and fitness.
    2) Nowadays I realize more often when I'm about to burst (I have a pretty short temper irl, and try to constantly mask it with chillness) and take necessary precautions to avoid it, or at the very least lessen it, so it doesn't hurt people around me. I feel like I should take up anger management classes/therapy or something. I at least feel good about myself that I acknowledge it.

My self esteem must be improving because I can actually think of things.

    1. I've had a rough go of it for a bit over a year. It all came to a climax this past April, but it shocked me into realizing that I need help. I'm happy that I did reach out to my therapist and I'm trying my hardest to stay positive and be a better person.
    2. I help others when I can. Usually it's financially like giving change to a homeless person or giving someone online money through a donation post.

That's great to hear, self-realization can be a difficult thing, and even more difficult to talk to someone about it.

For me, I have always been happy with my strength. I set a state bench press record when I was 19 and my max I was clearing in practice (425 pound single ply one rep max at 161 pounds) was good for 13th or 15th in the nation at the time.

The other thing is my work ethic, no matter where I work or what I am doing I am going to be the best in the room, no matter how long it takes or how much extra effort I have to put in. I guess you could umbrella both of these into being competitive but oh well. 😀

    2) my work ethic about always improving and trying to learn new things

People drastically undervalue a good work ethic tbh. You can get so much further than people think just by being driven and dedicated.

Agreed and I found that if you stay in the same field, you stop needing interviews for every job. I chained several jobs in a row without needing to interview because the Chefs knew each other and pretty much just said "hire this guy".

i am really fucking funny. so funny this counts as two things.

    1. I often find goodness, beauty and charm where others can't, and I'm very grateful for little things, which enables me to love life the way I do (even when I'm at my lowest). Like, I will happily gush over the most random things because it makes me happy, but others just seem disinterested lol, so I like that I can appreciate so much about life!

    2. I'm very different from others. Even though this does sometimes trigger depression and loneliness because I find it hard connecting with other people (both in life and online), I think in the end, setting myself apart from society's standards and norms is a wonderful thing and I should embrace my differences. It's how I won the heart of my boyfriend, and I trust his judgement so it is now something I am starting to love about myself! Slowly but surely. <3

My boyfriend says how cheery and happy I am and how brave and lovely I am.

I like these compliments :) if only I could see myself how he sees me....I am working on it, at least.

Only two? Man, that's hard, there are way too many things I love about myself.

I'll go with saying that I'm ridiculously smart and I got a pretty serious fighting spirit.

    1. I've learned in the past year or so to ignore people's judgements of me. Am I perfect in this regard? Not yet. But do I care if people thought I was weird for wearing a rainbow bandage on my nose to school? No, it made me happy and that's what matters. (And yes, I actually did that one day. Granted the mask was covering it most of time, but still)
    2. I had selective mutism as a child (basically I would get anxiety if I had to speak to anyone other than family) and I overcame it a long time ago back in 5th grade. I'm still proud even if it was like 7 years ago.

This right here ^^ I relate to you in this regard, my friend ~

I have the same answers as you, buddy.

😄 I've got a pretty serious fighting spirit, too. 👊

    My ridiculous smarts.

    I feel the same way.

I'm very passionate about computers, guitars (especially the electric ones..) and keeping myself fit.

I have a pretty short temper IRL, and I have a hard time dealing with it...but, I'm currently trying to better myself.

Two things I love about myself are:

My creativity - when it comes to writing or digital art.
My politeness and manners - when it comes to meeting people, or hanging out, introducing myself.

    1) I'm incredibly resilient with regards to what I endure on any level.

    2) I'm always striving to learn from my past mistakes, even if I can't get it right the first time.

This post took longer to think of than it should've...
