Crossing legs when sitting

I do this all the time because it makes me feel slightly warmer.

In other attempts to feel warm, I huddle my knees onto my stomach. On public transport I create a makeshift blanket with my school bag and curl my legs under it.

I'm a criss cross applesauce boy. I'm a rebel, folks.

I cross my legs alot depending on what kind of chair I am sitting on. If the chair is wide, high, or uncomfortable I usually cross my legs which is mainly at home. Most often in public I don't cross my legs since the chairs don't have enough space for me to put my legs on the chair.

I don't cross my legs. When I do, the calf of the upper leg slides on the knee of my lower leg and I end up in a non-crossed-legs position XD

Yes, I sit with my legs crossed quite often. I was taught that sitting that way is more mannerly when I was little, as opposed to sitting with my legs open. I wouldn't sit that way anyway.

I do it all the time because my grandmother is no longer here to scold me.
It's kind of unconcious.

It's the only way I sit. I have never felt comfortable sitting my legs straight. Whenever I force myself to I just can't keep still. It might be my ADHD.

When around others I'm not as… open and comfortable. Crossing my legs is something I do around company as a result. But when I'm on my own I let my legs attain the freedom they so desire. Whether it's sprawled out in the sofa with legs dangling different ways, criss-cross on the kitchen chairs, one tucked under and the other kicking whichever which way while in another chair, when on my own I need them doing something.

all the time. maybe because i'm too short to reach the floor in most chairs :why:

No, I used to cross my legs, and got teased for doing it because it evidently made me look curiously proper and mature at my elementary school desk to the other kids. I think because I liked to talk to adults more than kids my own age I probably picked up this habit from older people, without realizing it.

Over the years I stopped doing it. I think what happened is that my legs grew a lot longer. I am a tall girl and need some leg room, and crossing my legs, starts to make me feel like there's less space. It feels like I'm drawing up and bending myself into a knot, so nowadays I sit with my legs a little bit apart, maybe with my hands on my knees.
