What made you smile/happy today?

I had bubble tea for the first time! I thought it was okay (not sure if I'd get it again) but it's still fun to try new things.
 
getting reduced hours at work. normally that isn't something to be happy about, but a) i'm not really happy about my job and b) i'm looking for a different one anyway, so this gives me extra time to find another. c:
 
Similar to above, also ordered myself some clothes as an early birthday present to myself and they arrived today. I'm happy with what I got even if my bank account is a little less than before. :D

Trying bubble tea for the first time is exciting @ above. Bubble tea always makes me happy.
 
My partner sending me unexpected and heart-lifting messages this morning, and receiving my first volume of Witch Hat Atelier in the mail! :)
 
Discontinued a medication. Worked quite poorly, but not poorly enough to warrant dropping it immediately. (Likens it to taking cold medicine when you do not have a cold, then suffering mild cold symptoms from the medicine. Presumably fended off worse symptoms.) Idled on that for about three months total. Walked on eggshells most of that time. Finally handed off the ball to something new.

May or may not be better. Certainly ought to be, though. Stated directly on the past medication's prescription paperwork that it was not intended to treat this disease. (Thanks, insurance.)

My Taraglia cosplay showed up and I felt extremely manly wearing it, despite how suffocating and heavy it felt to wear.
 
Seeing an amibo card opening on youtube and seeing Tiansheng as the first villager pulled and thinking "Dang, he'd be cool if I had AC:NH." Yeah, Shaha and Raymond are cool too, but that boi Tiansheng made me smile. Also, on youtube, discovering "K.K. Robot Synth." That K.K. song is so GOOD it slams HARD!

Should I keep my Switch now just to get AC:NH? Idk? Doubt i'll keep mine for just those two reasons, but now it's so tempting. Jeeeeeeze.
 
How breathtaking this silver looks. My mom has brought up a lot of old antiques silver pieces she got as wedding presents. We're restoring them and arranging them in the dining and living room for the holidays. There were cups that looked like tar from rust, but with a little polish they have just dropped my jaw. Now that is what you call a diamond in the rough. Gorgeous! I'm getting Lothlorien vibes from the silverware.

There's beauty everywhere I turn. I am just in love with the autumn leaves. The trees are all fire and gold-colored. I need to go out with my camera and shoot the landscape! All these colors are making me happy.
 
Good news for the health of a loved one who was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. He was successfully treated last winter, and I heard today that he recently got results from his colonoscopy and is still cancer free, got a clean bill of health, and doesn't need to schedule another visit for the next 3-5 years :)
