The Trivia Frontier
Welcome to PokéLand's Trivia Frontier!
This is an event where you collect Frontier Symbols by posting in various games around the Pokémon Trivia section. The main goal of this event is to simply kick back and have fun playing all sorts of different games! By all means, go ahead and joke around alongside your fellow members and make silly posts to your heart's content!
This event will run from Monday, October 12th, 2020 to Tuesday, November 17th, 2020.
NOTE: The ending date of this event has been extended. Please see this post for more details.
Overview
Event Breakdown:
- Every week, there will be a new theme based on sweets from the Pokémon universe, and each theme will correspond to a set of specific PokéTrivia games.
- The five themes (which will be denoted by thread prefix tags) are: "Casteliacone" week, "Lava Cookie" week, "Malasada" week, "Gummi" week, and "Rare Candy" week.
- By making enough posts in the games that correspond to each theme, you will earn the Frontier Symbol for that theme. (See the [alink id="Frontier_Symbols"]list of Frontier Symbols[/alink id] for more details.)
- At the end of this event, you can receive prizes based on the Frontier Symbols you've collected!
Things to Know:
- Games tagged with "Sweetness Overload" can be used as a wildcard to earn Frontier Symbols from any week's theme.
- Previous weekly themes will remain open even after the newer themes start, so that way everyone has a fair chance of keeping up, regardless of when they join the event!
- All PokéCommunity global rules and Pokémon Trivia section rules apply.
Virtual Pokémon Pet:
While this isn't a requirement, you are encouraged to check out PokéCommunity's new "Virtual Pokémon Pet" section and sign up for a VPP if you haven't already! Cool VPP-based prizes will be offered to those who participate in Virtual Pokémon Pet. For any questions pertaining to VPP, feel free to ask away in the VPP DCC thread!
Frontier Symbols
Below are the Frontier Symbols you can earn from each week's theme! Frontier Symbols will come in two variants—Silver Symbols and Gold Symbols.
Making 10 posts total across a theme's games will earn you a Silver Symbol, and if you manage to reach 25 posts in that same theme, your Silver Symbol will be upgraded to a Gold Symbol.

Prizes
You can earn some neat prizes based on your achievements in this event! The main prize is the following PokéCommunity badge:
Sweets Connoisseur
This user certainly has a sweet tooth, as demonstrated by their achievements in a PokéTrivia event!
This badge comes in three tiers: bronze, silver, and gold. The criteria for each tier are as follows:
- If you earn a minimum of one Frontier Symbol (but not all five), you will receive the bronze tier badge.
- If you earn all five of the Frontier Symbols (but not all of them are Gold Symbols), you will receive the silver tier badge.
- If you earn all five of the Frontier Symbols (and all five are Gold Symbols), you will receive the gold tier badge.

How to Participate
To join the fun, all you need to do is post in this thread stating that you wish to participate!
You can keep track of your posts in any way you'd like. Whenever you think you've earned (or upgraded) a new Frontier Symbol, feel free to say so in this thread and I can count your posts for you! Frontier Symbols will be added beneath each participant's name in the [alink id="Hall_of_Sweets"]Hall of Sweets[/alink id].
Of course, asking questions and/or casually chatting is always more than welcome in this thread! Have fun, everyone! (*w*)
